My packet gear has been mothballed since about 1987. I had a Heathkit TNC with a KISS ROM installed so that I could run the KA9Q NET/NOS code. At that time, I was actively contributing to that code base. I really need to make a trip to HRO to get some more current hardware/software.

Yeah...300 baud! Was pretty exciting to connect to someone back then - the thrill is definitely gone! Although FR wouldn’t lose much in text mode at least...
