When To Start Watching: Polls will close for the Louisiana Republican primary at 8 p.m. CDT (9 p.m. EDT). Results will begin to come in around 8:30 p.m. CDT.
What's At Stake: Twenty of the state's 46 delegates are up for grabs Saturday, divided proportionately among all candidates who receive more than 25 percent of the vote in the state. Louisiana hosts a closed primary, meaning only registered Republicans may vote for the four candidates in the GOP contest.

CNN basically saying LA a bunch of uneducated hicks who didn’t know any better. Unbelievable!
How can they call it that quick with only 1% reporting? (about 1400 people)
S - 39%
R - 30%
G - 22%
CNN calling it for Rick. Woohoo!
Have to be using exit polls.
Okay, Romney is second.
There's a method to their madness. They called IL early while Romney's lead was greatest. They called LA early while Rick's lead is probably at its lowest.
All about making Sketch look good.
Are you sleeping or do you want on this thread about LA primary?
I saw a couple lib comments in the CNN comments section. One stated that people from the South are brainwashed and stupid, and the other stated that Santorum won because the people are a bunch of Evangelical bigots.
It’s not winner take all, so Santorum and Romeny get the delegates. Think I heard them say Newt and Paul wouldn’t get any.
Thanks, Marcella.
With 4% counted
S - 40%
R - 30%
G - 22%
P - 5%
Roughly 70% of Louisiana Republicans want someone other than Romney.
LA is a church going group, lots of Catholics.
As far as being educated, they’re a mixed bunch. It’s more exact to say they don’t have the kind of money Mitt does. There are wealthy people, but not like him.
Nonsense. It's called exit polling and waiting for enough results to verify them. The chameleon won Virginia 60/40 over RuPaul but the networks couldn't call it for quite awhile because not enough returns had come in to verify the exit polling. There were enough districts the loon had done well in to force a delay in calling the state for Willard.
People really need to quit with the silly conspiracy stuff. Santorum apparently won decisively enough in Louisiana exit polling that they didn't need to wait to make the call.
It's hard when you hear supposed news anchors discounting the entire South in order to prop up Romney.
Also, I keep seeing and hearing from Ann Romney now with the "can't we all just get along" speech. No more name-calling, let's focus on the issues. This from the wife of the guy who started the scorched earth campaigns
Excellent!
With 10% of the vote in, Rick is leading Romney 41% to 30%. Orleans Parrish hasn’t reported yet, so that might help Romney. Hopefully the other parts of the state will keep the margin in double digits.
Go Rick!
I just now saw it.
BREAKING NEWS:
An ambulance has been called to Karl Rove’s motel room.
Details are sketchy, but witnesses report that they heard what sounded like an “exploding head”. Apparently a smashed Etch-a-Sketch was found on the floor just outside of his room.
Fox News just arrived on scene, but the news crew will be unable to come on camera until they all stop crying and quit threatening group suicide.
Developing.......
14% in.
Santorum 44%
Romney 29%
Excellent!
Well, wish Newt had come in second but didn’t happen. His money will surely dry up after this.
