.......Chelsey Dargis, 21, who is studying to be a teacher, voted in Metairie for Mr. Romney because she said she thought he would reach out to independents.
I have Republican qualities, but I also agree with Democrats, Ms. Dargis said, citing her approval of abortion rights and same-sex marriage. I like Mitt Romney better because he once was a Democrat. He still has to have somewhat of the mind-set of a Democrat.

Did I miss a shake of the Etch-A-Sketch?

Sound like more of the same we have had every where else.
If Newt got out his voters we can win this. We know Mittens will take the Concentrated Population centers.

I know Mitt has voted for Democrats but was he ever a registered Democrat?
To: Cincinatus' Wife
I like Mitt Romney better because he once was a Democrat. He still has to have somewhat of the mind-set of a Democrat. Apparently too many "republicans" insist on Mittens even when beat over the head with his true agenda.

It is beautiful weather in La today. Could be the cause for low turnout.

I just came home from voting. The workers said it has been slow all day. It is a beautiful here today, more people are at the garage sales than are voting. Santorum has been in Central Louisiana for the past three days. Ron Paul has had huge turnouts in Alesandria and in Baton Rouge, Gingrich has made the rounds all over La as well as Mitt. Santorum is the only one running ads and push calling, all negative against Newt and Mitt. Very negative. Gingrich and Mitts ads are positive each about the candidate, respectively. Polls close at 6:00PM. CNN will have the results. So far, CNN has done a better job on each election night, better maps and graphics

You’re right! If only Newt’s voters would turn out in droves.
Prayers they do.

Unfortunately, this is a very demoralized base this election. The Romney smear campaign has left a scar.
But even more disconcerting for me, is the fact that this lack of enthusiasm will carry over to the General. For the Democrats, the very opposite is happening.
I know for a fact, that if the voters for our side had refused to act like Lemmings, and stuck with Newt, Newt would find a way to energize opposition to stop Obama.
But that is not the way things turned out, so hopefully, your prayer will be heard. It's about time we get a break.

It was the same 4 years ago with Huckabee in Iowa. Romney brings out the worst smears against his strongest rival and in come the pastors to rescue the social conservative with the biggest ego and they go on a suicidal mission completing Romney's plan.

Most Romney voters feel the same way you do, Ms. Dargis.
