Romney: If You Want Free Stuff, Vote for Obama By Noah Glyn March 20, 2012 2:07 P.M.
As Kathryn noted, Romney had an effective response to a woman who told him, Youre all for like Yay freedom and all this stuff and yay pursuit of happiness. You know what would make me happy? Free birth control.
Video at link.
>>Where has THIS Mitt been hiding? If Romney talked and acted like this all the time (and followed through), I might just be willing to support the guy for nominee, LOL<<
I agree — it was a great off-the-cuff remark.
I wish he had tossed her a quarter and said “here, put this between your knees.”
Most guys I know provide their own condoms. I keep mine neatly stacked on an antique hotel invoice spike. Haven’t lost one yet!
Yes, he did. Both Mitt and Newt have been scathing on Obama. I'm still a Rick guy but I wish he'd do the same. Obama's failed policies have been served up on a silver platter for this election.
Romney will have a hard time differentiating himself from BO. If he is thinking he can out-smear his opponent in the general election, he is in for a surprise. Moreover, I think he is a squish when running against liberals. He will only go scorched earth against conservative opponents.
I don’t know, I thought he was a tad tepid in his reply, personally. Newt would’ve made mince-meat out of that idiot, and it would’ve been a pleasure to watch.
Romney: If you want free stuff, vote for Obama...(and reported by the “under-his-breath news crew” he muttered, “unless it’s government funds to pick up the pieces after grotesque medicare fraud....heh, heh, heh...”)
Free Birth Control is not free. Government break your leg then give you a crunch then tell you, see without me, you can not walk and its those republicans fault
I don’t usually gather underlying base profundities from Rush Limbaugh, but today he said something that struck a chord....
liberals consider their lack of core values to BE freedom.
If I thought that any liberal actually could think and discuss logically,
I’d ask - “free to whom?”
If somewhere, someone has to pay for the process to produce anything that’s “free”, it’s not free.
But, then again, you have folks who believe in “0bama’s stash”.
Newt said that to a gay guy and from that moment on never got a vote again. When Newt was in the primary, he was doing well, but the minute he said that he lost and never recovered and now is not even campaigning. Maybe when he was in the primary, he only received votes from gays...lol.
Problem is, they can`t be convinced to believe that fact. The prevailing thought is, “Someone else will pay for it.”
This girl who asked him the question is your typical commie Obama supporter, with her hands out waiting for free stuff..there is a portion of our population that loves Obama because they think he will give them “Obama money” and other treats, what they don’t understand is NOTHING in this world is free, it will cost someone something, but they don’t care as long as they get “Free” stuff without having to work for it. I am shocked that Romney actually gave a pretty good answer to this
There ain’t no such thing as “free stuff”.
That woman is a member of the FSA (Free Sh*t Army)
He should have said “if you want the PROMISE of free stuff, vote for Obama”.
Then gone on to say, what might be given free to one is actually taken from another.
But I’m sure that most of his supporters don’t mind stuff they are given to be taken from someone else. To them working people are all evil anyway.
It is nice to see all you Freepers not bashing Romney for a change...
Yes, Romney should have gone with something more in line with your answer. Romney’s answer is a non-paid-for Obama ad. Many people are looking for free stuff.
Uh oh! The majority of Americans want free stuff.
