An AFP report that President Barack Obamas 13-year-old daughter, Malia, is spending spring break in Oaxaca, Mexico appears to have been completely scrubbed from the Internet news sites that first reported it. Pictures have appeared in Mexican magazine Quién.com allegedly showing Malia in visiting Oaxaca.
AFP first reported around mid-day Monday that Malia Obama was vacationing in Mexico with 12 friends under the protection of 25 Secret Service agents and a number of local police officers.
The International Business Times reported that, the group arrived in Oaxaca on Saturday and reportedly visited the architectural site of Mitla.
The Department of Public Safety, a Texas law enforcement agency, issued a warning on Tuesday against students against celebrating their spring breaks in violence-torn Mexico.
The Huffington Post reported that in February, the United States State Department recommended that Americans avoid travel to all or parts of 14 or 31 Mexican states. Its the widest travel advisory issued by the U.S. since Mexico stepped up its drug war in 2006.
Since the story was first reported, it appears to have been scrubbed from a number of news outlets. The Huffington Post, International Business Times, The Australian, The Telegraph and Global Grind have all removed the article, and AFP, which initially reported the story, now links to an unrelated story on Sengalese superstar Youssou Ndour.
I think these Spring Break trips for ANY teen / college student, is stupid.
And you couldn't pay me to step foot in Mexico.
I never did a "Spring Break" trip. All I heard from folks I knew who went on these trips were drunks, trying to get high and have sex with as many people possible. Sounds like Sodom and Gomorrah on steroids.
Somebody’s using OSX, boy am I jealous.
It’s still all over the internet. They just want to hide their extravagant spending of tax payer dollars because Soetoro is in deep trouble in November.
Unless you are running a sophisticated IP address security program

I do not believe that Freepers would be in harms way for commenting on a news story. Even if some news outlets have taken it down. The President, Vice-President and others who have SS protection constantly appear in public with SS protection. If it would be dangerous for US Citizens to comment on the protection by SS agents of a member of the Obama family that is general public knowledge, then someone should go to jail and not a Freeper.
Put Palin’s kids in that search! mind boggling.
It’s on Drudge’s front page .. with a photo of her and friends!
REPORT: Amid Travel Warnings, Obama Daughter Spring Breaks In Mexico...
Story Disappearing from the Web?
Right! Never saw such blatant hypocrisy as the delusional, entitled dems and press puppies practice ...
Agreed
Well Matt Drudge seems to be going after the usurper in chief again, so he has redeemed himself a little. Now of he would just knock it off with the love affair with Mittens.
I do not believe that Freepers would be in harms way for commenting on a news story.>>>>>>>>>>>>
If you were a Freeper posting otherwise secure details from a point location in Mexico, you might just be in danger.
Like I said. Be careful what you say.
What’s OSX?
The headline on Drudge links to something totally unrelated. The picture of Malia and title are still on the front page, but accessing the story - nada.
“What’s OSX?”
It’s the OS running on the MAC from which the screen shot was taken.
It gotten taken down in the last 5 mins .. ‘cause I just accessed the AFP article there then from this link

**IT’S NOW BACK AT THE ABOVE LINK.
Here is an even bigger STORY>>> I’m reporting that FACEBOOK postings related to the story are being censored!! Accounts & groups with this story posted are being temporarily blocked and disabled.
This is a big deal people. Evidently the Administration has an internet Kill Switch. My theory is that the “Malia in Mexico” story is a dry run. The Homeland Security themselves probably put the story out there, let it spread for a few hours, then tested their Kill Switch to evaluate its effectiveness. I’m surprised this thread hasn’t been pulled already. Look beyond the innocuous baby Obama in Mexico line. This event is huge and needs to be fully brought out into the light of day.
Excerpt from Beck’s The Blaze:
“Around 3:00 EST, a Telegraph story reporting on the event was the first to vanish (note how the url remains the same in the before and after):
Then, the related Huffington Post article was found to be linking back to a completely unrelated Yahoo News page titled Senegal Music Star Youssou Ndour Hits Campaign Trail.
*snip*
In addition to larger news organizations, smaller sites are also removing their stories.
Free Republic removed a related discussion thread:”
See #55 .. that link is still active.
Just think of the press that Zer0 could get, if a few gun shots went off within two miles of his revered daughter! ???
Just think how the RATS could construe a local Mexican uprising into a “hillary moment” dodging bullets with daughter Chelsea; “whew, just got ot with our lives!”
