When people download a film from Netflix to a flatscreen, or turn on web radio, they could be alerting unwanted watchers to exactly what they are doing and where they are.
Spies will no longer have to plant bugs in your home - the rise of 'connected' gadgets controlled by apps will mean that people 'bug' their own homes, says CIA director David Petraeus.
The CIA claims it will be able to 'read' these devices via the internet - and perhaps even via radio waves from outside the home.
Everything from remote controls to clock radios can now be controlled via apps - and chip company ARM recently unveiled low-powered, cheaper chips which will be used in everything from fridges and ovens to doorbells.
The resultant chorus of 'connected' gadgets will be able to be read like a book - and even remote-controlled, according to CIA CIA Director David Petraeus, according to a recent report by Wired's 'Danger Room' blog.
Petraeus says that web-connected gadgets will 'transform' the art of spying - allowing spies to monitor people automatically without planting bugs, breaking and entering or even donning a tuxedo to infiltrate a dinner party.
'Transformational’ is an overused word, but I do believe it properly applies to these technologies,' said Petraeus.

Which makes you wonder why the CIA didn’t see these people as potential threats in the first place, suggest to our president that 30,000 plus people here on student visas might not be a good idea.
They came from nation’s whose populace hated the United States and what it stood for. None the less these people were allowed to come here.

I don’t believe our government knew about 09/11/01 in advance, but I most certainly do believe it contributed to fostering an atmosphere where 09/11/01 could easily take place.
IMO, the CIA contributed to that atmosphere too.
Nobody should be coming here from terrorist states, or even states where their citizenry loathe the U. S.
If the CIA and our government were doing their jobs, we wouldn’t be treated as terrorists when we go through airports. We’ve let the enemy within our gates, and learned absolutely nothing from the results.

I’m not trying to lay this at the feet of any president. Bush was in power too short a time for him to be the blame for 09/11/01.
None the less, he did sign on to the Saudi Arabians increasing their students on our soil at any given time to 30,000. Look what happened with only 19 of them. This isn’t about personalities to me. It’s about our government as a whole.
As for Obama being worse, who could have guessed that? I traveled by air several times with my wife before Obama was sworn in, and while I sailed right through, she was taken over for advanced screening behind cubicle walls.
I don’t appreciate being told to move on and abandon my wife while she is essentially molested on our way to a distant destination.
There’s something rotten in Denmark, when there are obvious actions to be taken to reduce a threat, and the U. S. Citizens become the focus.
