President Obama took a shot at his opponents over their criticism of his energy policy during a speech at Prince Georges Community College in Largo, Maryland. Now, heres the sad thing. Lately, we have heard a lot of professional politicians, a lot of the folks who were running for a certain office, who shall go unnamed, theyve been talking down new sources of energy. They dismiss wind power. They dismiss solar power. They make jokes about biofuels. They were against raising fuel standards. I guess they like gas guzzlers. They think thats good for our future. Were trying to move towards the future. They want to be stuck in the past! Obama exclaimed to cheers from the crowd. If some of these folks were around when Columbus set sail, they probably must have been founding members of the flat earth society. They would not believe that the world was round!
They probably would have agreed with one of the pioneers of the radio who said, Television wont last. Its a flash in the pan, Obama added, and gave a laundry list of people proven wrong for downplaying innovation.

A member of the Flat Head Society ridiculing others.
The difference is: it was actually proven the earth was round.
Obummer Flatass, Moochie Fatass
No, O’s in the BES (Big Ear Society)
FES (Flat Earth Society)
are open game.
No offense to the State Bird of Minniesoda or
Nancy Pelosi,, but this guy is a loon.
If Obama gets beat like a landslide in the forest
would the media make any great hoopla about it?
Probably not, many of them are just as bad off.
JES - JUG eared society
BO - member of the stealth muslim commie society.
This from president “air in your tires”..........
The better analogy would socialism’s believers are the Flat Earth Society except the FES was never so malignant.
People that think you can turn algae into energy are current day Alchemists that thought they could turn lead into gold.
Still not Presidential material.
Not a suprising statement, coming from the founder of the Flat Wallet Society.
Can’t this guy talk to grownups??? Why is he always at colleges and high schools????
I encourage Odumbo to keep this up.
The analogy to Columbus is especially lame, since no one seriously doubted that the earth was round in Columbus’ time, the Greeks knew the world was round, for cripes sake.
The putative doubters thought that the earth was much BIGGER than Columbus thought and they were ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. Columbus sailed about one-fourth of the way to India and called the people he encountered in the Carribean “Indians”. The name stuck, and who was there to contradict him?
So, if Obama wants to call windmills and algae “energy sources”, who are we to call him misguided. For every Thomas Edison or Columbus who is laughed at, there are a thousand crackpot circle squarers and perpetual motion machine inventors, who were equally reviled and for every Martin Luther there are a thousand Rasputins and Reverend Wrights, for every Patrick Henry or Sam Adams there are a thousand Hitlers, Stalins and Mussolinis.
People in 1491 in Europe knew the world was round, they just didn’t know the size, figured it was smaller, and didn’t know about the Americas...
This whole—people back when Columbus began his journey had a flat Earth myth—is false.
Hey now. He's pretty proud of the fact that he and TOTUS graduated from Kindergarten!
Obama makes Daffy Duck sound like a genius by comparison. What sort of freebies did Obama give the students of Prince Georges Community College to get their applause. Frankly, I wouldn’t walk around the corner to hear his empty lies!
LOL!
AND the Flat Joke Society.
The laughter that ensued was short and followed by a few seconds of awkward silence...
