SNIPPET - quote:
King Announces Hearing on Iran/Hezbollah Threat to U.S. Homeland
MAR 14, 2012 Issues: Counterterrorism
Washington, D.C. Today, U.S. Rep. Peter T. King (R-NY), Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, announced that on Wednesday, March 21 he will convene an investigative hearing to examine the terror threat that Iran poses to the U.S. homeland. The hearing is entitled: Iran, Hezbollah, and the Threat to the Homeland.
King said: The disruption last fall of an Iranian plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States at a popular Washington restaurant was a wake-up call for all Americans. Last months forthright comments by Director of National Intelligence James Clapper that the Iranian regime is now more willing to conduct an attack in the United States has further heightened concern about an attack by Iran on the homeland. At this hearing, we will focus on Irans primary terrorism proxies, including Hezbollah, which already has a robust network within the U.S., and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as well as the real potential that the regime will activate its network of operatives to carry out an attack here.

King (THE HILL): "LAWMAKER PLANS HEARINGS ON IRAN" by Jordy Yager, The Hill (SNIPPET: "The House Homeland Security Committee is planning a hearing next week to explore Iran's capacity to carry out terrorist attacks in the United States. Rep. Pete King (R-N.Y.), the panel's chairman, told The Hill that the U.S. intelligence community has become greatly concerned with Iran since law enforcement officials disrupted a plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States five months ago. American authorities have accused Iran of orchestrating the plot.") (March 12, 2012) (Read More...)
A Look at Iran
http://www.truthusa.com/IRAN.html
One big problem is that Hezbollah is setting up bases inside Venezuela and other places in Latin America. They are being financed by the IRGC and the Quds Force. They are extremely organized and well financed.Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited four Latin American countries has made several trips to Latin America.
If you had to compare Hezbollah with Al-Qaeda, Hezbollah is much more dangerous because of their possible access to a nuclear weapon if Iran develops one.
Do the Demon rats plan to fight him every step of the way?
Thanks for putting up the link
:)
Thanks Cindy.
Personally, I'm not sure I'd care all that much of someone from Iran came here to the U.S. and conducted an attack against a Saudi official -- as long as it was done cleanly and didn't have any collateral damage. There's nothing in my book that makes Saudi Arabia any less hostile to me and the values that I hold dearly than Iran is.
I think that US officials percieve it as a threat because Hezbollah is setting up shop in South America and other Latin America. Another concern, is that they will have access to an atomic bomb and sneak it across the United States border with Mexico. These people are very well financed and are extremely well trained terrorists on the in the battlefields of Lebanon and Chechyna. Remember, Hezbollah is the organization responsible for the Marine Barracks bombing in 1983 that killed 200 Marines. The Saudis are in our pocket because we purchase their number one export oil and we export to them U.S. military technology. So we have a slight degree of leverage against them.
Anything that Hezbollah has done in the Middle East, it has been perfectly capable of doing right here in the U.S. for decades. Not to diminish the loss of U.S. lives in that 1983 Marine barracks bombing in Beirut, but Hezbollah — even in a post-9/11 world where security tends to be much tighter than it was 30 years ago — could wreak far more havoc and destruction by carrying out a similar bombing attack in any U.S. city on any given day. They could even do one every day for weeks at a time in different U.S. cities, and there isn’t much the U.S. could do about it without shutting the entire country down completely.
Excellent Point. If Hezbollah tries to activate terror cells in the United States, there could be catastrophic results.
When are we going to dump this term? It sounds well past Vaterland and Rodina.
It's a stinkin bunch of totalitarian rot.
Ours is a country, not some Nazioid Kinderschule.
You haffing problems wit der Heimatland??
Du betcherazz...
My fear is that Iran will set off an EMP as the signal that Hezbollah sleeper cells in every larger US city (but especially in Washington DC and the state capitols where the government is centered) are to begin the communist-Islamist coup here. Sometime before the election if it becomes clear that Obama is losing so badly that the dead voters and manipulated election tabulations would be too obvious.
Obama is making sure we don’t have troops here to defend the Homeland, that Iran gets a nuke (if they don’t already have a N Korean nuke in place to be launched from Venezuela), that our borders are wide open, that the majority-Muslim nations that had once been our allies against terror are now in the control of Al Qaeda and/or Salafists, and that the druglord allies of Hezbollah just across our southern border are armed with untrackable, deadly weapons.
And I should also add that the Egyptian ambassador in 2010 appeared on Arab TV and said that Obama had told him privately that he was and still is a Muslim who supports the Muslim agenda.
