It’s a well-known fact that liberals are more tolerant than conservatives or moderates. Superior liberal tolerance is such a fact that they will scream at you if you dare to disagree or debate them, demand that your advertisers bail on you, and pressure the FCC to get you banned from the airwaves. Does that sound like tolerance to you? A new survey from Pew confirms that liberals are the least tolerant of differing opinions, at least on line (emphasis mine):
Politics can be a sensitive subject and a number of SNS [social networking sites] users have decided to block, unfriend, or hide someone because of their politics or posting activities. In all, 18% of social networking site users have taken one of those steps by doing at least one of the following:
10% of SNS users have blocked, unfriended, or hidden someone on the site because that person posted too frequently about political subjects 9% of SNS users have blocked, unfriended, or hidden someone on the site because they posted something about politics or issues that they disagreed with or found offensive 8% of SNS users have blocked, unfriended, or hidden someone on the site because they argued about political issues on the site with the user or someone the user knows 5% of SNS users have blocked, unfriended, or hidden someone on the site because they posted something about politics that the user worried would offend other friends 4% of SNS users have blocked, unfriended, or hidden someone on the site because they disagreed with something the user posted about politicsOf course, that means that 82% of SNS users have not taken any steps to ignore or disconnect from someone whose views are different – or have not encountered any views that would prompt such a move.

It’s not just online, either. They’re also intolerant on college campuses.

Try going on Match.com as a conservative here in New England. You quickly learn that the ladies who identify themselves as “Liberal” — and who often make a point of noting in their profiles that they are seeking a “tolerant” man — quickly turn into multi-headed hydras when you mention that you are a conservative.
I could tell you stories.
Try being a conservative, 21 year old mother of three (soon to be four), who’s Christian and married to an older, successful man and who is also a stay-at-home mom.

I unfriended a bunch of liberals from my FB site because of their name calling. Shortly thereafter I just left all together. Haven’t missed it.
I’ve said this for a long time with regards to liberals:
“Tolerance means that YOU have to tolerate THEM but they can hate YOU all they want.”

I’ve had to block people because of the hatred and vicious name calling. I find that liberal women are the worst.
It’s been my experience that Lib/prog/soc/anarchist are completely open minded and tolerant of anyone who agrees with them 100% of the time online.
Off line you can disagree with them although you will rarely change their mind (or lack thereof).
Of course they are worse on the Net. The cowards can hide behind their keyboard. They would never face you unless they had 45 garbage smellers behind them and you were alone. The Net is perfect for cowards to rap their crap.
I've done that too. They tolerate each others' foul language with "LOL's", but if you politely disagree with them you are liable to be called something akin to "murderer".

5% of SNS users have blocked...
4% of SNS users have blocked...
Of course, that means that 82% of SNS users have not taken any steps to ignore or disconnect from someone whose views are different – or have not encountered any views that would prompt such a move.Either there's a great deal of overlap among the first five groups or the researchers found 118% of the people on these social networking sites. :=)
Believe me, they are looking for men. And many of them are smart, attractive, sucessful and accomplished. It’s just that they tend to be very judgmental and are often prone to fits of rage and anger. At least that’s what I’ve found.
I’m too old to put up with that anymore.
In my 20s I wondered what they’d look like naked.
In my 30s I wondered what they’d be like in bed.
In my 40s I wondered what they’d look like without make-up.
In my 50’s, I learned that the first thing to think about is what they’ll look and sound like when they’re annoyed with me.
I just take the liberal ones completely off my radar screen. At this point I’m even leery of women who seem to be conservative but who aren’t outspoken about it.
This does not make for a particularly large dating pool in a university setting!
Just go back in history and look at Roger Williams and the founding of Rhode Island: he was banished from Massachusetts for advocacy of religious tolerance.
IOW, “Do it our way or you’re out!” Nothing’s changed in ~400 years.
