How convenient! Someone has finally invented a weapon that combines the killing power of a double-barreled shotgun with the portability of a handgun.

I wouldn’t want any gun pointed at me actually.
But the LeMat was also known to blow up in the hand. They might have been a cool gun in theory but they were not very well made actually. Neither was the Colt Walker. They both (Walker and LeMat) were known to take off the hand of the guy shooting them.
If you use the front pistol grip, it’s not bad at all, DO. My Beowulf .50cal has almost the same recoil as this 12ga.

Do they make one in 10mm? ;-)
Hey, you pays your Confederate dollar and you takes your Confederate chance..........Good thing we gots the Fed Gubmint to protect us nowadays from such bad guns............
That girl needs some sunshine bad, talk about milk white.
10mm? What’s that metric mumbojumbo. That’s un-merican
I don't have one, although I've looked at them. Since they will hold either .410 or .45 Colt, I guess you could alternate rounds, with the .410 first.
For carry, I personally prefer my .45 (single barrel). I figure if the target needs more than one hole, I'll just pull the trigger a few times.
My guess is the gang hangers would STILL miss.

Sure — but what .410 load?
If you’re going with a coarse shot load (I prefer #4 for around the place), the perp better be close, literally in your face, or the shot will spread to where it’s useless.
Anything finer than #4 may be OK for smallish reptiles, but utterly useless for 2-legged snakes.
And if you’re going to load .410 buckshot, you might as well just have a .45LC in that slot instead. Significantly more punch and not THAT many fewer projectiles. :-)
When it’s laying around, I keep my Judge loaded with .45LC hollowpoint as a backup “defense” weapon. When I take it out around the place, #4 shot.
Like I said, I find it a lot of fun to shoot (if a bit spendy — priced .45LC lately?) but if you want a serious personal defense weapon I’d look elsewhere. Just my 2c
LOL!
Ammo .410 Bore Federal Premium Personal Defense 3” 000 Buck 5 Pellets 960 fps 20 Round Box

Works well in The Judge or Mossberg HS-410, plug removed
.
Other size shot and loads are available.
Good indoors and speaking range!

That’s 3”. My Judge takes only 2 1/2 inch (= 3 000 pellets).
I’ve shot 000 in it; just don’t find it that impressive. Ditto rifled slugs. To stop an assailant at “speaking range”, I’d rather bet on a single .45LC bullet than 3 000 pellets (with less punch behind them).
Just my opinion though; I’ve never tried either one on any actual assailants and I hope I never have to.
I’m guessing your snakes want one.

Ithaca "Auto and Burglar" pistol. 20 ga., 12-1/4" cylinder bore barrels -- Original cost (including tax) $45.00...
One side had an engraving of a burglar with a bandanna over his lower face, and the other side had a Model "A" with the gun firing out through a window...
Now, of course, you would have to deal with ATF hassle and fees to own one...
Wish I knew what became of it (and his "Artillery "Luger with holster/stock...)
Snakes and hand guns aren’t very compatible....for the obvious reasons....;D
That's American ingenuity for you... ;-)
