Lifetime's Dance Moms has hit new lows by asking its child contestants - the youngest of whom is just eight-years-old - to dress in nude bikinis and perform a burlesque routine on stage.
The raunchy dance moves are usually the domain of striptease experts, the X-rated acts brimming with nudity, nipple tassels and sexually explicit poses.
But a clip from this week's show sees dance teacher Abby Lee Miller dressing the children in tan bikinis to give the audience the impression of full nudity, before asking them to act as if a man 'cant' afford' them.

A lot of these moms are closet pedophiles.
With Netflix streaming video, you can watch practically anything you remember from your childhood. (Or on DVD, although that takes up more space.)
Frankly, I don’t know how that show continues to air without the local authorities executing a raid, taking those involved into custody, placing the adults in jail, and putting those kids in a decent foster home.
Ah....I forget about Netflix. Thanks
Best laugh I’ve had all week.
That’s pretty dreadful. Luckily I’ve never heard of this show. And yet....this is Lifetime...isn’t this supposed to be some women-empowerment channel? And this is their concept of empowerment, teaching little children to act as prostitutes? And someone has a problem with Rush Limbaugh?
This is some messed up culture we got going here.
My daughter and I still will watch old re-runs of Little House on the Prairie on the Hallmark Channel . . . and she just turned 18 in January. We both enjoy it. I watched it in my 20’s.

Rotgut for the mind and heart. Ruining children as fast as they can. Sick, perverted and vile don't even express the depth. They want to take everyone into Pedophile Country. Get the kids to "want it". That is exactly what many pedophiles say - that the children "wanted it" or "tempted" them. SIck sick sick.
Weep for the future....
There is a reality show (about little people, if that matters) I used to watch called “Little People, Big World.” Nice, wholesome, interesting show. Always suggested it to people with families.
I don’t know anyone who watches it and that includes myself. Yuck!
Agreed! Child protective services should be called in each of these parents.
>”I’ve started a petition to have this trash taken off the air’’<. Breaking the hearts of pedophiles everywhere. GOOD!!! I saw a commercial for this garbage and couldn’t believe it. Soft-core child porn is all it is.
bump
I’ve watched Little people, Big World. I forgot about that one. There is also the 19 Kids and Counting show. A lot of kids bnut still a good clean show.
I’m in on a petition/emails, etc. This behaviour is beyond belief.
Isn’t this child abuse? Isn’t it like when kids are brought up in cults?
The kids even think it is wrong.
What is wrong with the mothers, the “teacher” and with Lifetime Channel (think I got the channel right)?
Where are the Child Protection Services?
This reminds me so much of JonBenet Ramsey...
Heaven help us...
I agree with you. That show is trash, the dances are trash, the girls’ outfits are trash, the mothers are ____ (for the most part), and the dance instructor is a ____ on wheels (completely).
These girls are NOT learning anything about dance, in my opinion.
They are not getting a firm foundation in ballet. They are learning how to thrill an audience by being raunchy. That has nothing to do with technical skill.
The fact that the mothers sat around and let any of this happen for more than a few moments without grabbing their daughters and marching out of there says to me that the mothers are there only because there are cameras rolling. They do not care about the emotional development of their daughters. They should have left, en masse.
They should have left so quickly and loudly that the dance school would have closed that very day. The entire community would have known that this dance school was not interested in teaching young girls how to be young ladies who have a firm foundation in ballet, tap and jazz. It is only interested in reality television.
The story would not have been what happened at the school when the tan bikinis and feathers were brought out that day. The story would have been that this dance school is not safe for children.
The woman who runs the school is a freak, that is most certain.
But the mothers? They should be ashamed of themselves! I feel so terribly for these little girls. They’ve lost their innocence and millions of people watched it happen on television because their mothers allowed it.
