I have advocated Gingrich staying in until sometime in March. I felt the vote splitting would help prevent Romney from locking up a sufficient number of bound delegates to take the nomination. The plan did a good job so far, but not a great job.
I think now the mathematics is shifting such that Gingrich needs to bow out. The reasons for the shift are:
1. winner-take-alls coming up soon - vote splitting begins to really hurt us in these primaries 2. we need money consolidating behind Santorum. 3. Santorum made the Indiana ballot after all
But now Gingrich needs to bow out.
You have to suffer awhile yet, I suspect.
We are not kowtowing at present.
Deal with it.
In other words, what you are really saying is, “I’m going down with the ship.” And that’s fine, nothing wrong with that.
“They seem believe it.”
Newt supporters press on in their hapless quest. but they only evolve from the pathological to the pitiful.
Sad, but strangely humorous.
Why wast his time endorsing Rickey, when he could just go all the way and endorse Obama?
Gingrich ran Robocalls attacking Santorum in Georgia, the one place he didn’t really need the votes, but still it was an attack on Santorum.
The hell of it is, you don’t have crystal ball.
NO more rinos! not ever. Been there and done that..got the hat and tee shirt. Voted for Bush and he was way too moderate for me; voted for the jerk Mccain and he is another rino. NO MORE! No more money to the gop...the only man that can turn this nation around is NEWT!
He’s pimp, whadya expect?!
Yes, I am watching. Hamilton Co. puts Myth up in Ohio, what 3000 + ?
Very tight. Hope Ricky pulls it out from Romney.
What a message to the Establishment, huh? Maybe a mortal wound in that the people say, “No More!”
The delegate totals in your post are the main part of my comment: Each Candidate has his own, non-transferrable following.
If the purpose of the Primary is to develop ideas (planks) that are tested by the Primary voters, (volunteers, donations, rally attendance, votes, delegates), then this Primary has been a smashing success!
The last point is that every delegate not won by Romney increases the chances that NO candidate will win enough delegates before the Convention in Tampa.
The MSM is totally clueless about the importance of having a brokered Convention.
If there is no brokered Convention due to a Romney Primary win, the Taxed Enough Already Party will take over the GOP before the next election in 2014.
Let Santorum bow out. Newt is heading for Tampa.
“The hell of it is, you dont have crystal ball.”
I don’t need a crystal ball to see Newt is not getting enough votes in the primaries to win the nomination.
If you see anything different it’s a bad crystal ball.
I agree.
“Asked about Rick Santorum’s contention that Gingrich is dividing the conservative, anti-Romney vote, Sarah Palin dismissed the complaint. “Oh, boo-hoo,” she said.
-:)
bump
Is Rick for Cap-N-Tax/Global Warming? No.
Is Rick for Obama/RomneyCare? No.
Guess who is? Newt.
So yeah, “baby rick” is the most conservative of those running for the Republican nomination.
I haven't read the replies yet, but I'm here to tell you to go to hell with your fracking idea.
You're a fracking IDIOT to even suggest that Newt step out of the race.
Rick Sanctamonious IS A BIG GOV'T republican and a PILE OF CRAP, who has not done a fraction of what Newt has done to push CONSERVATIVE POLICIES. And this pile of absolute crap ALWAYS has an excuse when he screws up instead of manning up and accepting responsibility for his actions.

Islam Delenda Est!
So that makes the ratio of negative ads against Newt versus negative ads against Santorum, what, only about 20 thousand dollars to one ratio?
