New York City Councilman Peter Vallone wants ABC to pull its new show "GCB" off the air ... STAT -- and to expedite the process, he's demanding "people of all faiths" boycott it ... on grounds it's an attack on religion.
Vallone tells TMZ, The title of the show alone is yet another outrageous attack on the Christian faith. Charlie Sheen will be back on Two and a Half Men before we see a similar title targeting another religion."
The show was originally named after the book entitled "Good Christian Bitches" -- but ABC changed the name to stand for "Good Christian Belles" in response to criticism.

In order to show their balance and even-handedness, ABC can make a companion show called GMCM, maybe GMHK.
I dare them to do the same with Muslims. I double dare them. I triple dog dare them.
They are a bunch of bully cowards. They are not pushing the envelope. They are only picking on a group of people whom they know will not fight back.
This show just looks lame...
The debut was on this past Sunday night. Did anyone watch? Do we have a list of commercial sponsors of this program?

How a Church of Christ minister ended up on the set of racy TV show GCB

If conservatives have so much money why don’t they own networks? Why no conservative search engine or engines like yahoo and google? The left is kicking ass because they own the field.

Absolutely. My apologies to miss-zot! The queen of all zots.
Moslems retaliate.
Christians don't, so it's safe to bravely attack them so you and all your homo buddies can congratulate each other on how brave you are.
I think the mre they yell boycott, the more people will watch the show like what happened with Married with Children. Boycott with your remote it looks like stupid show
>They are only picking on a group of people whom they know will not fight back.<
.
And that’s exactly the problem with modern-day Christianity — they want to hold hands with islam and sing kumbayah hoping that it will result in peace.
But it was not always that way. Recall Charles Martel, Crusades, eviction of the Moores in 1492 by Spain and the Battle of Lepanto.
I'm inclined to agree. Best to ignore it and hope it dies an early death due to a lack of viewers. If it takes off (which seems unlikely to me, but then almost everything on TV seems unlikely to me), then it would be time to boycott.
I watched the first part of GCB. It was more dumb than anything else. It was just about this clique of haughty Dallas socialites with too much time on their hands. It could have just as easily been called “The Real Housewives of Dallas.” The characters are church-goers, but there was no attack on Christianity that I saw. Of course, I only saw the first half hour and stopped watching out of boredom.
GCB had a viewership of 7.56 million. Not great for a premiere.
It has already been moved to the toss up for cancellation, on tvbythenumbers.
had to do my part... http://goodmuslimbitches.com
yes - I actually know some people (from my time living in Texas) who almost fit the show's stereotype, so I couldn't resist. Of course the main characters are all hypocrites, so it was offensive to Christians, but my main issue with the show was that it just wasn't that funny (I once thought of writing a screenplay based on my days in Texas - it's a target-rich environment - but the show was mostly off-target.
The desperate housewives, whether they were being good or bad, were always compelling characters - the GCB ladies, not so much. I'm guessing it won't last too long.
It is easy to denigrate those whose faith is based on Turn the Other Cheek - those who will cut your head off when they don't like what you say, not so much....
