Rush Limbaugh Apologizes Again, But Advertisers Continue To Sever Ties
Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh is being criticized for recent comments he made about a Georgetown law student. He called Sandra Fluke a slut and suggested she post sex videos of herself on the Internet.

Rush Limbaugh offered more contrition Monday for his comments about a Georgetown law student, but the conservative radio talk-show host continued to lose advertisers as a result of outrage over his characterization of the woman as a slut and a prostitute.
Those two words were inappropriate and uncalled for, Limbaugh said at the start of his show on Monday, referring to Sandra Fluke, a student who had spoken out in behalf of insurance coverage for contraception. They distracted from the point I was actually trying to make and again I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for using those two words.
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh apologized for using harsh language to describe a law student who called for insurance coverage for birth control.
The apology reinforced a statement Limbaugh posted on his Web site Saturday in which he said that his choice of words was not the best and that he was attempting to be humorous in his attack on Fluke on two programs last week.
Many thought Limbaughs initial apology was inadequate, and their outrage helped compel advertisers to pull their commercials from Limbaughs program.
Two more national advertisers online giant AOL and tax service Tax Resolution said Monday that they were suspending their sponsorship of Limbaugh, bringing the total number of companies fleeing Limbaugh to nine. In addition, two local advertisers, Hadeed Carpet and Rug and window-replacement company Thompson Creek said they have pulled their ads from WMAL AM-FM, which airs Limbaughs show in the...

Facts like the '23 year old student' that later becomes a 30 year old law student. Better yet, an activist. Left wing activist. That sounds more like a mano e mano faceoff with Rush.
The media is trying to advance their crap again. Leaving out key facts of the way they dimiss stories when they are conservatives accusing a liberal (bias, agenda). But utterly silent in the important opening rounds of a slug fest where the media comes out taking sides.
This fluke hoopla will get its 15 minutes of fame and disappear in a heartbeat!
No reason for panic.
And the fire is an opportunity for the underbrush, the little guys, to buy some bargain advertisement at one of the largest listenership radio program in the country!
Why pay a monthly fee to an online service whose political affiliations are questionable or unknown when you can BUY fairly cheaply and OWN a full Terabyte external hard drive and there it is? Two months service fee from carbonite buys a terabyte of offline storage. All yours and all there.
No problem.
It’s a shame that we don’t see this type of reaction by advertisers when some liberal retard spouts some nonsense. If that was the case Keith Olberman would not have lasted a week.....on ESPN.
But aren’t we supposed to boycott Carbonite as well?
The best way to boycott carbonite is to not use their service at all. There are some real horror stories out there about what happens to a perfectly good computer if you start with carbonite and then try to opt out. Trust me.
If I were an advertiser, this would be an opportune time to advertise on Rush’s show. The listeners would be more supportive of these advertisers as a way to affirm their loyalty to Rush.
Apologies to the enemy only embolden the enemy to continue their attacks.
Imagine being carbonite right now with YEARS of Rush Limbaugh’s PERSONAL information locked up on THEIR servers somewhere. Think about that.
I was going to get GoToMyPC (Citrix) but won’t now. Are there any alternatives?
It may be over for Limbaugh.
Imagine how many companies have been waiting for years to get a shot at advertising on Rush’s show.
I hope not. I honestly can say I don’t listen to him, but that has a lot to do with the amount of items on my schedule which prevent that.
Absolutely. In fact, I believe that MM has been trying to explain that you can simply back up your data on a 1 Terabyte external drive that you own, and can be plugged into a USB port on your computer, allowing you to back up all of your data on your own device, and not have your info in anyone else's hands other than your very own.
That's what I did/do. a 1 Terabyte external drive costs less than $100 and is about the size of an iPhone, or at least mine was when I bought it.
Good to see you, MM. :)
Where’s the list of advertisers to support or boycott? I have a desire to go out and buy something.
Most are simply “suspending” their advertising. They’re likely locked into yearly contracts that require payment whether they run ads or not.
I’ll bet that 3/4 of them are back with Rush within 3-6 months.
Mega dittos. And that is exactly right. Easy as 123. Wouldn’t be without it because I don’t trust anyone with my stuff.

WHAT might be over for Limbaugh? The man has just outed a far left cabal and NOW we know. They will go before he does. Long before. Rush will go when HE wants to...and for all we know, maybe he wants to. He’s been taking flak for us for a long time.
