Rush Limbaugh explains his apology on his Monday, March 5, 2012 program.
LIMBAUGH: This is the mistake I made: In fighting them on this issue last week, I became like them. Against my own instincts, against my own knowledge, against everything that I know to be right and wrong, I descended to their level when I used those two words to describe Sandra Fluke. That was my error. I became like them.
And I feel very badly about that. I've always tried to maintain a very high degree of integrity and independence on this program. Nevertheless, those two words were inappropriate, they were uncalled for, they distracted from the point I was actually trying to make. And I again sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for using those two words to describe her.

Rush aces it again. He was right when he said he desended to their level. Rush has class and he just proved it.
His lib advertisers are going to feel the pain!
Now... If Ms. Fluke would just apologize to all her ‘friends’ at Georgetown for calling them ‘broke sluts who are likely to get pregnant’, then everything would be OK.
He would have been OK if he had used a less offensive word like Floosie.

I was happy to hear why he apologized. It is SO true....and he also socked em as well!

I’m torn. Rush’s explanation was a good one, but then again, I think of Breitbart who would have got right in their faces and told them where to go. He would have never backed down. Kinda looks like Rush is doing that. That’s how the media is already reporting it.
This was crafted by a political consultant. Rule #1 in politics is to try to turn any apology around into an attack on your opponent in order to shift some of the focus away from your “mistake”.

I disagree. It was terrifically strong. He turned it around on them. It was not what I expected.
I have to say that I thought Rush may be about to retire this weekend, what with losing those sponsors and all.
But I don’t think that anymore. I’m quite happy to admit that I was WRONG-O!
He has a point. Go to any left-wing nutball website and try to read more than two paragraphs without the F-bomb making an appearance.
