Looks like the race towards Super Tuesday is revving up to high speed and what does a high-speed race need? Lots of gas. After Mitt Romney criticized Newt Gingrich yesterday for pandering by promising a specific price of gasoline at a specific time, Gingrich reached back into his January strategy and blasted Romney for being too rich to care about gas prices at all:

Snarky? You people better wise up. This is sweetness in comparison to the class war the Obama administration is going to start on Romney. Which is why Obama wants to run against him and which is ultimately why Romney will lose. It will be Bain, Caymans, Cadillacs, multiplied by 100 every day until the last vote is in. You guys just don’t get it.
That’s an anecdote demonstrating the very reasoning behind making life more expensive through energy costs and taxation -
it becomes less crowded at the “top”.
As an afterthought, what is the BFD over Newt having a large credit line at Tiffany’s? Truth is, he needed a credit line, Romney would have paid cash out of his wallet. This Tiffany crap is stale garbage. Find something worth talking about.
It is a mistake for the republicans to take this tact. The democrats are planning an all-out war against the oil industry by tying them to Wall Street. The election will be free-market capitalism vs. socialism. Let’s not help them out here.
>> Romney is a self made man <<
I’ll bet daddy George paid Mitt’s tuition bills for BYU, Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School — unless there is evidence that Mitt worked his way thru college and grad school by some kinda menial job like washing dishes in the school cafeteria or brewing coffee at a nearby Dunkin’ Donuts.
(No Starbucks back in those days!)
But after graduation, Romney seems to have been completely “on his own” — and so wildly successful in business that he was able to give away all the wealth he inherited after George and Lenore went to live on Planet Kolob.
So yeah, you can say Romney is “sorta self made,” just not 100%.
Now as for Newt, it’s probably accurate to say he is “more self made” than Romney. Good for him! But even so, Newt’s lapse back into demagogic bashing of the rich is unbecoming in the extreme. In fact, this Newtonian habit of making undisciplined and Alinsky-like remarks is just one more reason why Gingrich will never be elected POTUS.
Neither Newt nor Mitt hurts when they fill up the wife’s Caddy, but that’s not the point. The point is that Mitt doesn’t get it, but Newt does.
The guy that’s really hurting because of high fuel prices is the independent long haul trucker. It costs $1,103 to fill up those 280-gallon fuel tanks with diesel at $3.94 a gallon. His rig is not a luxury yacht, but the tool of his trade, the means by which he tries to make a living.
Romney has no idea of what these truckers are going through. Newt gets it.
>> Newt gets it. <<
So it’s OK to bash the rich and engage in class warfare, even though Newt and Callista love to shop for diamonds at Tiffany’s? No thanks.
Mitt Romney is a self made man having given every bit of his inheritance to charity.

Proof ???
Source ???
Willard is a trust fund baby rich guy...
His Big Daddy George Romney was a multi millionaire...
“self-made” men start with nothing or very little...
Willie Mitty started out in Harvard with Daddy’s big bucks...
again where’s the source of your statement ???
and what charity was that ???
other than the money he gave to Planned Parenthood..
Newt is my favorite of the three, but I don’t like the “populist” rhetoric. It’s like an anti-capitalist stance. Wealth is bad. The rich owe use. We aren’t getting our fair share. Etc. I wish he’d cut it out.
Gas prices are hurting me, and I don’t like it.
That said, one of the misconceptions about wealthy people is that they don’t care about paying more money for gas. It may not be as painful for them, but they do care.
Why pay more for something that you know doesn’t have to be as high as it is?
I don’t support Romney but I do support the truth. I also don’t like your attitude so you’ll have to use your own search engine. Unless you’d care to make a wager, in which case I’ll produce the evidence forthwith. Your choice.
Maybe Newt should have said, "Pelosi doesn't care or Obama doesn't care because they commute worldwide on the backs of the taxpayers
Mitt Romney is a self made man having given every bit of his inheritance to charity.

Your wish or do you have a source for this statement ???
I also dont like your attitude

Gauging my attitude is not supplying an answer to your problem...
You have failed to back up your imagination...
You got this from somewhere over the rainbow...
“Mitt Romney is a self made man having given every bit of his inheritance to charity.”
Which rainbow would that be ???
Ill produce the evidence forthwith

CRICKETS
Romney was born into Mormon Royalty, and wealth, and education, and power, and celebrity.
When you use the word “Charity” You need to clarify what portion of that was transferred to his cult, and everything “charitable” that is connected directly, or indirectly to serve his cult.
I don’t have to clarify anything. Where a man does his charitable giving is none of my damn business. Unlike you I’m not a liberal or a control freak who thinks people have to get your OK on where to send or spend their own money.
Newt is a bestselling author of 2 dozen books and also goes around the country giving great speeches. Let's not forget Romney's campaign is funded by the contacts he made at Bain and on Wall Street. And a lot of his Bain money was made off of the backs of government-backed pensions and various creditors who lost their shirts on bankrupt companies that Romney extracted millions from before they went under.
So do you, for example, think donating to CAIR (Crooks And Islamic Rascals) is just as laudable as donating to The Wounded Warrior Project?
It is a relevant question as to a candidate’s character and motivations what they use their money for. If your position was held more widely though, at least we would never had to hear all the pointless whining about Newt’s Tiffany credit line.
