You have some sort of problem with my conservative credentials?
That’s your opinion of course, but he has won more states than Gingrich so he must be doing something right.
Santorum should have taken the honorable course that Pawlenty, Bachman, Cain, and Perry did and withdrawn after Gingrich romp in winning SC. His presence is causing a split in the conservative vote and Romney is shooting through the breach. Had Santorum dropped out, Gingrich would have won in MI and the Romney candidacy would have been up in flames. Santorum is now playing the role of spoiler and so we get Romney. Romney needs Santorums role as spoiler. Romney knows this. The $64,000 question is why doesnt Santorum and his supporters know about it?
>> His presence is causing a split in the conservative vote
The essence of his campaign is that of indignation, and it’s not going to take us to the Presidency.
Why should Rick have dropped out? He is the one people are voting for, rather than NEWT or Romney. He’s correct that Newt dropping out would help him (Rick) get more votes.
I cannot say that I would have voted for Newt over Romney in Michigan unless Newt had mentioned a definite running mate like Alan West. I still see Newt as a Republican turn coat.
Santorum is a cry baby. It's never his fault. It's Bush's fault he lost in 2006. He loves to lecture us on our lives. He's angry and petulant. He's like Obama without the personal charm. They certainly agreed on Sonya Sotomayor's great qualifications for judicial appointment.
Such a great conservative. /s
I was pointing out that it works both ways.
The voters will decide.
And that is the way it should be.
Agreed.
And Newt wouldn't have won Florida even if he had every Santorum vote (which didn't stop Newt's supporters from blaming Newt's loss on Rick Santorum and demanding he drop out back then)
Anyone that favors Romney over Santorum isn't a conservative. RINOs and libertarians with a bug up their ass about social issues are the only ones that would favor Romney over Santorum.
Exiting polling shows Santorum in most states that have recently held primaries or caucuses overwhelmingly winning about the most conservative voters and those aligned with the Tea Party.
Wallace looked like an idiot and a communist. Santorum answered Wallace concerning the conscience clause, but Wallace kept on pushing it to the point where it made him, i.e., Wallace, look very bad.

Self identified.
In some states Romney has gotten so called Tea Party support.
It would be the sames as a Santorum supporter supporting Romney, if Santorum dropped out and Gingrich were still in the race, just over bitterness. It makes no sense. ROMNEY IS THE ENEMY OF ALL CONSERVATIVES. PERIOD.
It’s ridiculous. Honestly, though, the support for Romney as a second choice makes sense. The hatred toward Rick has done nothing but help Romney. Those who support Romney as a second choice seem to hate Rick so much because he is so socially conservative and outspoken about it, hence the nicknames like “Saint Rick” and “Sanctimonious”.
Says a lot about the poster, if you ask me, that moral issues make them cringe (and yet they would still claim to be a conservative.) I truly think the US Libertarian Party would be a more appropriate site for them perhaps.
GOP is already dead. The fact the conservative base is split between Gingrich and Santorum proves that from the get go people did not agree within the tea party base on candidates. it sounds more and more like there will be on coalescing around anyone. A faction of voters will split from the nominee between all four left.

I say that because a core of the Gingrich supporters are all of a sudden against Santorum no matter what. And a core of Santorum supporters won’t back Gingrich or they wouldn’t be for Santorum, of course. And you know about the Paul and Romney backers. Romney people might not vote for the nominee if not him and you know this. These goofs have started appearing on The Blaze attacking Santorum and Gingrich.
Personally, as I’ve said a lot, I was and still like Bachmann. And I was also fine with Cain. But they are over. So ever since they both dropped out I have been bouncing around between Newt and Santorum. But I am with Santorum now for the last month. But the 3rd party option is looking pretty good these days as Romney get more and more delegates. I won’t vote for Romney or Paul.
But I would for Santorum and Gingrich. Both bring good things to the table. Both have some baggage you wouldn’t have gotten with Bachmann or Palin or DeMint. However, I lean Santorum now.
