Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit points to a story at Tax Prof Blog about Northeastern University's decision to bar the fast-food chain Chick-fil-A from that fine institution's campus.
Why the exclusion? On the basis of some of its charitable giving, Chick-fil-A is considered to be anti-gay by the gay rights group Equality Matters. Among the groups that raise ire are outfits such as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Focus on the Family, The Family Resource Council, and Exodus International. Certainly some of these groups talk often about pushing back on what they consider "the homosexual agenda" that has continued to spread like chlymidia despite the cancellation of Will & Grace some years ago. Exodus International is a leading "pray away the gay" outfit.

The homos` “boycott” of Chik-Fil-A has been a boon for the company, if the numbers of customers is any indication. It`s turned into a wonderful family environmentbnow. I hope the “boycott” stays in place forevermore. What we`re seeing is a “Thank you Jesse Jackson” moment.
Just what IS “processed”? Cleaned?
CFA does NOT grind up meat. Every piece is a genuine cut of meat. That’s all I can say.
It is fantastic - tasting (chicken products, carrot salad, and milkshakes), service, and Godliness. Probably the only company I can support 100% whole-heartedly.
Truett Cathy is VERY religious (I go to his church) and even as wealthy as he is, still teaches Sunday School as he has for over 60 years.
He’s not “anti-gay” as much as he is Southern Baptist. That says what he is and isn’t.
Many times in the kids meals will be Veggie Tale books (religious cartoon) and of course his closing on Sundays.
But the food is so dang good that you just mumble and wait till Monday!
Yes, they’re definitely Southern Baptists, and yes, there are plenty of Mormons here in ATL as well. Not nearly as many as SBs, though.
They are not Mormon. They go to a Southern Baptist church in a southern Atlanta county.
You went to school with Dan???
We must be from the same town!
It’s about as unprocessed as fast food chicken gets.
I did a consulting gig several years ago for the $4B chicken division of a Fortune 100 food conglomerate. The HQ guys *knew* chicken. If they ate fast food chicken, they ate CFA, and it had nothing to do with who they had contracts with.
FBC of Jonesboro.
But he speaks at many churches around Atlanta.

Oh, and yes, I concur, they really have their act together. They hire well and pay well for fast food, and it really shows.
You might be thinking of Hobby Lobby. They are also not open on Sundays.

STFU you farging iceholes.
Chick Fil A- good
Indiscriminate anal sex- bad
I suddenly like them more.
Eat more chicken.
I won’t eat Tyson (knowingly) either - remember the situation in Shelbyville with the Somalians. I prefer my food not be processed by people who hate me. KFC uses Tyson - someone just recently told me that, but now they show it in their TV commercials.
I’ve never been to a Chick fil A. I avoid malls, which is where many of them are, I think.
Woodward Academy, class of 1971. I was a boarder from Savannah, GA.
Gonna get breakfast at a Chick-fil-a tomorrow!!!!!
