NYS has been reading too many UK papers to come up with a stupid law like that.

OK. Sell a coffee and a shot of Irish whiskey separately, and let the customer pour the shot into the coffee himself.

Jackasses passing law to address the already illegal sale of caffeinated cocktails to minors.

Glad I left that NYC hell-hole 21yrs ago. Dinkins and Koch had turned it into a sewer; Rudy fixed it, but I was long-gone by then.

More contraband for people to smuggle in and sell at a profit. Lovely.

FALSE

The NYC Senate passed the bill. It still has to go to the assembly.

Not a law.

"Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with."

The actual text of the bill:

"CAFFEINATED OR STIMULANT-ENHANCED ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE" MEANS AND INCLUDES A BEER OR WINE PRODUCT THAT CONTAINS MORE THAN SIX PER CENTUM ALCOHOL BY VOLUME AND AN UNSAFE FOOD ADDITIVE. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS SUBDIVISION, "UNSAFE FOOD ADDITIVE" SHALL HAVE THE SAME MEANING AS PROVIDED IN THE FEDERAL FOOD, DRUG, AND COSMETIC ACT (21 U.S.C. S 348) AND SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO, CAFFEINE OR OTHER STIMULANTS DIRECTLY ADDED TO AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE AS A SEPARATE INGREDIENT WITHOUT APPROVAL BY FEDERAL REGULATION OR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AS GENERALLY RECOGNIZED AS SAFE.

But Irish coffee is the only food with all four essential nutrients: alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and fat!

So, if I am on an airplane over NY having coffee with a shot of Tia Maria added to the coffee, I am indulging in a felony action.

So, if the above is a felony that I have committed and am convicted of, then I can no longer possess or own a firearm. I think this is a reason for so many felony crime actions being legislated into state criminal law. It is a way to bypass the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights and to enact gun control in the United States.

So, if this is a felony that I am accused of, what will be the bond amount be that I will have to post in order to not spend the next six months in jail awaiting trial for this awful criminal offense. The Constitution does provide for a “speedy” trial, thank God...

So, if this is a criminal felony offense, will the Public Defender defend me against this charge while I spend the six months in jail and then go to trial.

So, if this is a criminal felony offense, what will I be charged by a criminal defense attorney to defend me and get it reduced to a misdemeanor, since it is my first criminal offense committed while flying into a NY state airport, which will still leave me with a criminal record. Will this be comparable to a DUI charge? Will this nefarious criminal charge impair my credit score as well as cause a problem looking for employment? Who will want to hire someone who consumed a cup of coffee with a shot of Tia Maria while flying into

So, if this is a criminal felony offense, will the Marshall on the airplane put me in handcuffs? Will the pilot then land the plane ASAP and have me escorted off the plane into the local arms of the law?

So, if under the circumstances, I have a problem with being detained by the Marshall on the plane, will the other passengers see this as a TERRORIST action and assist the flight attendant and the Marshall to subdue me and will a SWAT team be called to the airport that the pilot is now heading for?

So, since I am 79 years old, I won’t be here much longer and won’t have to endure the CRAP that you younger folks are going to have to live with.... especially, if the BEPLN/BHO is reelected and the DEMORATS regain the House and keep the Senate. Your ass is MUD.... stocking up on guns and ammunition is not going to save you... what happened to David Karesh in Waco, TX? How are you going to go to combat with a SWAT team?

So, have as good a day as you can. Love your spouse and kids, your parents and related family and pet your pets... they are family too. Enjoy it while it is here before the HOPE & CHANGE of the BEPLN/BHO takes it all away. Adios, amigo...

Something is wrong here.

When I was a kid, I watched enough westerns on TV to know that Four Loko was something to be avoided.

Pardon my ignorance, but isn’t it already illegal for minors to have alcohol? Why the need for another law?
