It's not just a problem with "the HHS mandate." It's certainly not just a matter of "Church institutions." The larger filthy tyranny --- Obamacare itself --- has to be taken down completely.
We live in interesting times.
Oremus.
A hundred billion here, a hundred billion there, pretty soon your talking about some real money. With apologies to Everette Dirksen for paraphrasing.
I just was just wondering today what would happen if the church decided to go Galt.
Obama doesn’t risk a cent. We do. Big difference. Like he cares.
There are a lot of evangelical Christians who wouldn’t be happy with a “Catholic church only” exemption in Obamacare, and would continue to get on Obama’s case about it. And that’s just for starters.
Earnest prayer and supplication on this one. Already praying for protection for our country. This tyranny must be defeated.
The guy went ten TRILLION in the hole to payoff pals and hide the true state of the economy. What's a hundred billion to a guy who doesn't even keep count of anything except the number of strokes his ego gets every day? Besides, it's pretty obvious that bankrupting insurance companies and closing hospitals is one of the goals of Barry Care. Catholic Hospitals closing is just a good start in his opinion.
We have 5 major hospitals in my area. Three of them are Catholic.
Obama has a way of summoning Galt gremlins.
The Catholics talk the talk. Will they walk the walk?
Obamacare was NEVER about health care.
It was about overwhelming the system.
Cloward-Piven Mission Accomplished.
I believe that is precisely what Obama wants. He would then nationalize the hospitals for the good of the people.
Maybe even declare that Catholic and certain other subversive churches would no longer enjoy "loopholes" in the IRS tax code.
They would henceforth be subjected to certain restriction in the interest of fairness and to make sure they were doing their fair share with their immense wealth.
There is an EXCELLENT response made by Bishop William Lori in response to the liberals who run America magazine....and who took the Bishops to task in an editorial for not accepting the *accommodation.* It has to do with the DETAILS of the HHS Mandate. I share the ending to his letter.
“Oh, and as Detective Colombo used to say: Just one more thing. Its the comment in the editorial about when we bishops are at our best. Evidently, its when we speak generalities softly and go along to get along, even though for the first time in history the federal government is forcing church entities to provide for things that contradict church teaching. Maybe Moses wasnt at his best when he confronted Pharaoh. Maybe the Good Shepherd was a bit off his game when he confronted the rulers of his day.
But those are just details.”
Most Reverend William E. Lori
Bishop of Bridgeport
Chairman, Ad Hoc Committee on Religious Liberty

Oh goodie - another brave “line in the sand” that the right can back-step away from.
Freep-mail me to get on or off my pro-life and Catholic List:
Please ping me to note-worthy Pro-Life or Catholic threads, or other threads of general interest.
There’s no “risk” whatsoever. It’s a calculated decision. The cost in dollars doesn’t matter, as long as they get what they want.
For leftists, all good MUST come from the government. They will pay lip-service to “religion” as long as it fulfills their leftists goals, but everyone in power know that it’s with a “wink and a nod.”
The “reverends” Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Emanuel Cleaver are “religious” in that they realize they can use religion to con their constituents into supporting them. As long as they spew the leftist dogma, everything’s hunky-dory. However let a clergy-man utter one conservative thought, and you’re right in the middle of a constitutional crisis, as well as threats of IRS investigations.
Communism will not suffer religion to exist. Marx realized that until they can purge religion from the public’s mind, it can be used as the “opiate of the masses,” as the above mentioned charlatans are so adept at doing.
But the one thing that all forms of totalitarian governments require is a rejection of private charities, since all good must come from the government.

Actually, the closure of Catholic hospitals, offices and charities will/would dump all those people into government hands, whether that government is muslim or not. The extra money will be absorbed, and the extra people will create demand and lines, long lines and waits that will kill some of them off.
Clever ba$tards, aren’t they.
Obama don't care. His jack booted HHS thugs would march in seize the facilities and dragoon the employees into working for the government while blaming faith based organizations. A win-win for Obama and the Democrats.
We have to make the Donkey Party own this.
