For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.
I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.
My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.
Holy moly! Thank you so much for that pic and link! Doesn’t even look like him...lol. I guess we’ve all changed just a “tad” since that many years ago....hehe.
And yeah, you could be right about that falling off the map. But if Rush had his own station, we could still listen in like we do now, without having to worry about being told what he can or can’t say.
Rush is the LAST person on earth I ever thought would cave.
I’m so disgusted I can’t even express it.
I never want to hear him talk about weak-willed Republicans again....
I didn’t listen to her testimony, and I have no reason to doubt your summary of it, nor the conclusions you drew from that as regards my original charge - if you were her, I guess I’d have to follow that statement with an apology of mine.
But gosh, even if I grant she’s not (necessarily) a slut, she does seem to be in the business of encouraging - or at least facilitating - slutiness. I’m not real big on forcing others to contribute to that either.
Bottom line, though - you make a fair and reasoned point, and you do so in a polite and considerate fashion; I can’t ask for more.
Amazing to watch all of the Conservative keyboard warriors tuck their tail and turn on Rush isnt it?
Theyre about as loyal as a slut, truly ironic.
_______
Ron ? where and what are Limbaugh’s loyalties ?
he is a self made millionaire many times over and could even quit and kept laughing at them.
I’m out as well and am not an ironic slut either.
Implication, smplication. She didn't STATE as it applied to HER!!
She knew damn well that birth control pills ARE available for free or at very minimal cost.
I agree. And as I stated upthread, I think she is a very dishonest woman for precisely this reason.
>I guess his $pon$ors were dropping him like flies so he panicked.<
I know, right! Lose a couple of sponsors and he’d be bankrupt in no time...........
Yeah.
“A Boy Named Sue,” seemed a bit too cliche’
I’m with you. I’ll at least wait until Monday to see how this will work out.
Rush has something up his sleeve.
Precisely.
Not enough, in my book ;-)!
Rush drove the bus over himself. No Conservatives were involved.
Not at all. You made asinine comments and I corrected you, nothing more.
From where I sit it sounds like I hit a little too close to home for your liking.
AMEN

I couldn’t agree more! Rush screwed up big time. The Left now smells blood in the water and will not stop until he is taken off the air!
Isn't that precisely why Glenn started GBTV?
When was the last time you had to call out the bomb squad to your house?
Have you received death threats every day for the last twenty years?
Tell us how you would stand up to that from the safety of your anonymous keyboard.
As Rush says, the media didn’t make him so they can’t take him down. I, for one, will continue to listen and respect him. If he’s taken off the air, there will be hell to pay to whoever takes him down.
