Jessie Sansone and his family are reeling after he was arrested and strip searched by police after his four-year-old daughter drew a picture of a man with a gun in her Kitchener, Ont., kindergarten class.
The 26-year-old father of four said Saturday the sketch was supposed to be him, getting the bad guys and monsters.
The school must have thought differently, as after Nevaeh drew it Wednesday, the school contacted Family and Children's Services and they called police.
Waterloo Police met Sansone at the school when he tried to pick up his kids he was told he was charged with possession of a firearm. He was then handcuffed and put him in one of the several squad cars waiting outside, he said.

So...here you are...your kid doesn’t eat his peas so you there’s no TV tonight. Next day at school kid draws you with gun and gets sweet revenge.
Hey, it gets cold up there! And it's not like they can go shooting.
I hope lawyers are lined up around the block.
Wonder what would have happened if it was a drawing of a suicide bomber or someone carving the head off of Jew with a rusty butter knife?

****** “Yea. When I was in high school kids had rifles in their pickups and cars. We even made explosives in chemistry class.” ******
Same here ... we also made silencers in metal shop

Before I pass judgment ... did they find anymore drawings of guns on him?
Homeschool parents were just told that they couldn't disparage homosexuality in any way, even when teaching the biblical view.
Canada is gone. Will we learn from their demise?
If the daughter drew a picture of a dog pooping on a Bible, the school district probably would have given the dad a 6 figure job.
“...Proof once again that under the thin velvet skin of liberalism lies the iron fist of fascism...”
And a soft, squishy, pink center too. They aren’t invulnerable.
They like to think they are. But they aren’t.
I know this is in Canada, but my wife and I are already committed to either homeschooling or sending to an orthodox Catholic school. No way will my kids be exposed to this garbage.
To beat all, the drawing my not even exist:

However, consider this curious paragraph from the Record:
Thaler said investigators never saw the drawing that sparked the investigation. Sansone has not seen it. Bereznick wont acknowledge a drawing exists. Alison Scott, the executive director of Family and Childrens Services, says the agency may or may not have a copy of the childs drawing.
My grandsons(5 & 3) were just in the Charlotte, NC airport going through customs and immigration after a trip to Turks and Caicos. As they went through security the oldest looked up and saw pictures of items that are banned. He remarked to his brother how cool the guns, knives and swords were. He then asked his Mom, in a lound voice ,if they had any of those weapons in their bags. She nearly died but said the TSA agent had a hard time keeping a straight face.
Sheesh, my parents would’ve been arrested if they had done that in the schools long ago! I drew a somewhat detailed picture of a minute-man in Social Studies in 4th grade, and my teacher and parents thought it was just fine! I loved to draw and color my pictures for extra credit then. Oh by the way, this was long, long time ago, in much more conservative Maryland (Prince Georges County schools). This picture had a picture of a ‘Minute-man’ with a (gasp)rifle in his hand!
Have the kid draw a picture of the teacher and principal inappropriately touching a student, then take the picture to the police and hope for a proportional response from the trusted police department.
What ever happened to simply talking to the parents about a concern first?
