A secret Bible in which Jesus is believed to predict the coming of the Prophet Muhammad to Earth has sparked serious interest from the Vatican.
Pope Benedict XVI is claimed to want to see the 1,500-year-old book, which many say is the Gospel of Barnabas, that has been hidden by the Turkish state for the last 12 years.
The £14million handwritten gold lettered tome, penned in Jesus' native Aramaic language, is said to contain his early teachings and a prediction of the Prophet's coming.

I know, I know, it's the know your enemy thing for some. This is just not for me, same as listening to gossip, don't want to hear it.
Even worse is who/what he wrote it about. (See tagline...)
I agree with the others... read Islamic Anti-christ. It is uber -enlightening. I do not think it is Muhammad He predicted as Antichrist, it is the Mahdi. The Islamic antichrist perfectly describes the return of Jesus. Muhammad was covered under the false prophet teachings..
The Church would be remiss to not investigate and conclusively dismiss this fraud.

looks like Schmidt has some competition. Bring out the hat.
Throne? Peter was a fisherman who died (crucified, according to tradition, upside down). Peter never had a throne.
What book/books have they been reading and teaching from? Oh my.

“Yet the POPE is entertaining it??? Unbelievable.”
No, he is not. Check the story. It’s a baseless rumor.
Investigating an alleged historical document doesn't in any way imply acceptance of the content.
Church investigations can take years or even centuries.
They don't presume to know it all a priori like some half-cocked protestants.
Yea, Jesus prophesied false prophets, that’s not new.
Under a pile of camal sh**.
Half cocked prostestants??? you are getting very rude with that one.
You did not see me say anything disparaging about the POPE/CHURCH. Only that by now they should know what they believe in and not entertain some false religion. That is truth, not disparaging.
Stop calling prostetants names, please. Prostetants don't know everything either, but we do have the BIBLE for truth and don't have the need to entertain others.
I was on the board of an Assemblies of God church one time and we had a picnic and bonfire out back of the church. We went inside and got the "thrones" of the stage and threw them on the fire. They went up real nice.
After that the hierarchy got to sit with their families and the rest of the folk where they belonged.
Barnabas was not one of Jesus’ personal contacts, so just another pretender. The poope will love it.

So, the claim is that the Turkish manuscript is an earlier version of a manuscript which has been judged by Christians and Muslims to be a medieval forgery. So either it will be found to be completely unrelated when it is studied, or it will be an old apocryphal manuscript which may have formed the basis of the medieval work.
Second paragraph above: Pope it is claimed would like to see it. Your right it does/could be just a rumor with the "it is claimed" part.
This is Muslim propaganda. The the 1500 year old Syraic Bible hasn’t been restored enough to read.
