If you insist on mocking God, take it to the Democrat Underground. They will love you for it.

Believe what you want. I refer to him as Saint Ricky and/or a televangelist, but I certainly don’t hate him.

I see Santorum as a man with certain qualities, but not as a man I want leading this country and not a man that can turn this country around, quickly and intelligently.

Frankly, he has shown me reasons not to trust him. His performance in the last debate was horrible.

It is possible that he could win the nomination, although I doubt it, but I do not believe he has any chance of beating Obama.

I agree with you. I try to read the real arguments and ignore the ad hominen attacks. The people that feel compelled to include insults in their comments cause me to instantly tune out what they say and move my eyes to the next poster. I try to remember that when I post, but don't always succeed.

You might not understand the process.

It isn't one state = one delegate. The more populous states (CA, NY, FL, MA, NJ, VA) have more delegates

It works out to about 35-40% of the GOP delegates are going to go to Romney from these 14 states. Romney just needs to do OK, not necessarily win, in some of the states that allow delegates to be apportioned in line with the number of votes, such as Michigan.

Well enough... I believe in what I see in your Ricky and he will not be getting my vote.

Have a nice day......

your Ricky

...is beating your Newtster like a drum on a shoestring budget. And the debates are over, which means your Newtster is dead in the water.

Take care!

Breaking news is when something out of the ordinary is taking place. Polls are part of the political season.

” I try to remember that when I post, but don’t always succeed.”

Well, that’s true of a lot of Newt supporters too, myself included.

We don’t hate Rick, we just don’t think he’s up to the task anywhere near as well as Newt is.

“Santorum does not realize that it isn’t a question of whether we agree with him on social issues. It is a question of priorities.” - Exactly right. Romney supporters, Gingrich supporters even most Paul supporters don’t disagree with Santorum on the social issues. I agree with Rick almost 100% on the social issues. But that is not what the election will/can be won on. Our nation is bankrupt. Our economy is stalled. 46 million people are on food stamps, and the Obama administration is doing everything in its power to crush free enterprise & liberty and to bring about a European socialist state. If Santorum were president his first day in office he would issue a dozen executive orders that would roll back Obama’s assault on Life, Marriage and Family values, and when the time came he would appoint like minded judges...but Newt, Mitt and Paul have pledged and I believe, would do essentially the same. So what’s to talk about on social issues? The election will be won or lost as referendum on the Obama economy and big government and Santorum can’t sell an opposing vision. People criticize Gingrich for for his big, sometimes whacky, ideas but the American people are hungry for that. They can see the problems. Even lots of Obama voters from 2008 are frustrated and want a solution to restart an America with jobs, security and a playing field that makes sense. People criticize Romney for his vicious negative adds and huge spending to take down his opponents. They wouldn’t be crying about it if it didn’t work. Who will take that kind of fight to Obama? Rick Santorum? Count me skeptical of the the sweater vest man’s ability to to play hardball with the machine that is Hope & Change

Newt’s supporters do more damage to their candidate than hurt Rick. I’m convinced many of the most rabid Santorum bashers are actually working for Romney. They hatred of “socons” and “Bible thumpers” exposes their RINOism.

You know I was thinking much the same thing... although there are lots of lurkers, etc. What really irks me is that there is this cry for better candidates, but people are simply merciless on any candidate. Who could blame anyone for not wanting to walk through this fire? It’s just horrible and a sad commentary on our country, no matter what the party affiliation.

Santorum went out of his way to continue digging himself a deeper hole on the social issues.

What a crock of nonsense. His debate performance and poor explanation as to why he signed on to the Bush agenda is what is hurting him along with the multimillion dollar Romney sleaze campaign.

Social issues will be part of the Presidential race and the GOP platform or the Republican party will cease to exist as we know it. Get used it.

We saw how far the avoidance of “social issues” got John McCain in 2008.

I don’t trust anyone who tries to marginalize life and family as trivial fringe issues. The moral decline of our society is the root cause of every domestic problem we face and it will be the death of us if we don’t recognize it.

Santorum was never a threat to Romney in the first place.

Only Newt can people fired up enough to win this nomination.

“I know the difference between hatred and disagreement, thanks. The religious nature of the attacks on Santorum are a dead giveaway.”

It’s all in your head. You’re having a hallucination. The comments about ‘Saint Rick’ are a result of Saint Rick himself pretending to be God’s chosen one, he who has no sin, he who is above it all, but is right down there stuck in it. It’s also his self-righteous hypocrisy. I was ticked with Santorum early on when I noticed how he would distort and attack other conservatives. At that time he wasn’t important, so no one even noticed. Now he’s on top, and people say he’s the little angel... but he isn’t. He’s part of the problem with politics today.

The only onse who have really conducted themselves the best have been Newt, Cain, and even Perry. The rest have been more than willing to denigrate their opponents, question their faith, question their morality, their character and distort and lie about their ideas.

It’s a disgrace that one of the bottom feeders in this election, Saint Rick, would make it to the top, and surrounded with so much delusion too.

I find these constant accusations of “attacks against Christianity” pretty disgusting. It’s as if only Saint Rick is Holy enough to represent Christendom. The error is on your side, not ours.
