KITCHENER — A Kitchener father is upset that police arrested him at his children’s’ school Wednesday, hauled him down to the station and strip-searched him, all because his four-year-old daughter drew a picture of a gun at school.
“I’m picking up my kids and then, next thing you know, I’m locked up,” Jessie Sansone, 26, said Thursday.
“I was in shock. This is completely insane. My daughter drew a gun on a piece of paper at school.”
The school principal, police and child welfare officials, however, all stand by their actions. They said they had to investigate to determine whether there was a gun in Sansone’s house that children had access to.
“From a public safety point of view, any child drawing a picture of guns and saying there’s guns in a home would warrant some further conversation with the parents and child,” said Alison Scott, executive director of Family and Children’s Services.

Sorry. The story's horrifying, but I can't help but wonder if this guy, prior to this, hadn't supported the Canadian government's draconian anti-gun mentality. I'm stereotyping. Maybe, he didn't. Either way, it's frightening.

I used to be soooooo pro-cop, but stuff has gotten very much out of balance lately.
Don’t not have children — homeschool them. That way they can even eat the food you prepare for them — or better, they can learn how to plan a meal, grow it, and prepare it themselves.

I used to spend my elementary days in the late 70’s drawing these huge apocalyptic vehicles with giant cannons and laser turrents on them.
Those evil warmongering vehicles, Being a symbol of death alone plus my possible unpleasant disposition and god only knows if i’d still be locked up behind bars today....

When I was in high school, rifles and shotguns in the back window gunrack were a common sight in the pickup trucks parked outside. Of course, we were just country hicks that didn’t know anything about being in a gang or shootin’ up the school.
