KITCHENER — A Kitchener father is upset that police arrested him at his children’s’ school Wednesday, hauled him down to the station and strip-searched him, all because his four-year-old daughter drew a picture of a gun at school.
“I’m picking up my kids and then, next thing you know, I’m locked up,” Jessie Sansone, 26, said Thursday.
“I was in shock. This is completely insane. My daughter drew a gun on a piece of paper at school.”
The school principal, police and child welfare officials, however, all stand by their actions. They said they had to investigate to determine whether there was a gun in Sansone’s house that children had access to.
“From a public safety point of view, any child drawing a picture of guns and saying there’s guns in a home would warrant some further conversation with the parents and child,” said Alison Scott, executive director of Family and Children’s Services.

I hated school here starting in the 5th grade I drew pictures of guns, the school burning down, blowing up, I HATE, HATE, hated it here!
Even the teacher noticed my hate for schools here.
I also shudder to think what would happen today if I did it.
Strange. I didn’t hate schools in the West when I went there, only in the Ozarks.
We never owned any guns at that time.
Her father owning a gun is scandalous ...but if the child wanted an abortion and asked the school for assistance. That would be A-OK.

In 1995, high school kids in my area were still bringing guns to school in their trucks. Now they are not allowed.

The irony is that Canada is now progressing in the opposite direction. I think it’s because the voters here who once embraced Trudeau’s “Just Society” got fed up with being taxed and regulated to death. Even the Liberal Party here supports the corporate tax cuts here; our corporate tax rates are now lower than in most US states.
I’ll bet if she instead had drawn a condom fitted on a cucumber, she would have gotten a Smiley Face...

She can draw pictures of multi-colored condoms.
She can draw pictures of women in burkas chopping the heads off US socdiers.

That is the kind of thinking that has assisted this headlong slide into tyranny and is one of the reasons there is absolutely no chance of stopping it.

Did you hear about the liberal woman - yesterday - who hired a hit man to kill anyone over the age of 12 who was wearing fur? These folks are nuts - and dangerous... Liberal teachers, greenies, radical unionists... nuts - - they’re all nuts.
Very true. Canadians are coming around and beginning to make changes but it will be a long and sometimes difficult process. I wish you guys the best in your efforts and hope that enough people in this country can be brought around to the idea of reclaiming its freedom and constitutional roots from these socialist bastards.
