KITCHENER A Kitchener father is upset that police arrested him at his childrens school Wednesday, hauled him down to the station and strip-searched him, all because his four-year-old daughter drew a picture of a gun at school.
Im picking up my kids and then, next thing you know, Im locked up, Jessie Sansone, 26, said Thursday.
I was in shock. This is completely insane. My daughter drew a gun on a piece of paper at school.
The school principal, police and child welfare officials, however, all stand by their actions. They said they had to investigate to determine whether there was a gun in Sansones house that children had access to.
From a public safety point of view, any child drawing a picture of guns and saying theres guns in a home would warrant some further conversation with the parents and child, said Alison Scott, executive director of Family and Childrens Services.

In Kindergarten I drew a school bus with the engine hood up stalled on a railroad track with a train bearing down on the children trapped in the bus.
Simultaneously dive bombers with swastikas on the side were staffing the bus.
My Mother saved the drawing and showed it to me a few years ago.
I can only imagine the uproar that would cause today.

If you voted for these PC socialists and the socialists in your government then you are on the receiving end of your voting decisions. Your ill-conceived votes have consequences.
Canada went this way quite a while back. Here, we are pretty close to this level of socialist thugs intruding into our lives and the lives of our children. We once fought a revolution to rid ourselves of tyranny far less onerous than what we have today. King or would-be dictator, what is the difference?
I am sick of the political blather and trivialities from the so-called conservative candidates. I want to know one thing; which one of you will restore the actual Constitution and outlaw/sweep away all of the crap the socialists have wrapped around our necks? The almost certain alternative is going to be less than pleasant for both the socialists and the GOP elite.
Piss on the GOP elite, piss on bipartisanship, piss on all democrats. The future of our constitutional republic is at stake.

When I was in high school, I always had a rifle in my car. I lived in the country and didn’t want to pass up a shot at a coyote on the way to school and back.

“Several hours later, a detective apologized and said he was being released with no charges”, Sansone said.
That’s about the time new charges of assault on a LEO would be warranted, if it were me!

"Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with."

Same here in Central VA back in 1966 when I graduated from high school; except shotguns were the norm as anything above .22 cal rifle was either illegal for hunting or had to be used from an elevated stand ...county laws differed greatly as to legal firearms; however, high powered rifles were legal the farther into the Piedmont you got. Now days most deer hunters use blackpowder or bowhunt. Shotguns are more the territory of those who hunt deer w/dogs (legal east of the Blue Ridge in VA) ...of course bird hunters still use shotguns.

I remember lining up .22lr ammo in the form of a ‘22’ number on my desktop in third grade ‘show and tell’. No problems either but I’d get the chair for that today I guess!!!
