If you attempt to commit suicide by shooting yourself in the head and fail....does that make you a loser?

Excellent character actor. (Remember the mayor from "The Postman?"
No? Oh, well... it wasn't his fault.)
Very Satanic character in O Brother... "as white as you boys..."
Always a quiet tension, whether bad guy or good.
Disturbing news, and we hope he pulls through.

Apparantly he never got a marksmanship ribbon.

If you attempt to commit suicide by shooting yourself in the head and fail....does that make you a loser?
I went through a VERY intense corporate training program (the premise of if you failed the program, you were out of the company was used as an incentivizer) back in the 1990s where a couple students had killed themselves over the 30+ years it had been around, and many more had tried and failed.
The joke was that if you were going to try to kill yourself, you should either go up to the roof and jump, or throw a computer monitor through the window first. Because it would be downright humiliating to take a run at a window and only injure yourself ... by bouncing off.

If you attempt to commit suicide by shooting yourself in the head and fail....does that make you a loser? Ask the hockey goaltender who was feeling depressed because he couldn't stop a puck; everything went past him and into the net. He decided to end it all. He found himself a busy highway and stepped out in front of a truck ... but the truck went right between his legs.

Yet another victim of Hollyweird. Not so sure.
He had one leg amputated for medical reasons and the other leg was next. Sounds like he has diabetes and probably in a state of depression
He probably has some measure of renal failure and heart disease as well.

no snarkiness.....I just knew there are very few people who would so honestly say, "i know how he feels..." in such a hitting-rock-bottom way. God bless you.

Seinfeld? This guys been in a huge number of movies. He is an excellent character actor.
Who says that clinical depression is not a fatal illness? It looks really bad for him.

Officers rarely wear their marksmanship medal. Well, it was obviously a joke which you didn't get, but since you mention it, I've known a lot of officers who wore their expert marksman ribbons (including me).
