PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Critics are having a field day with an advisory from Vice President Joseph Biden's office that describes an upcoming visit to New England.
According to Biden's White House office, the vice president plans to go to Boston, Manchester and then "Providence Road Island" on Thursday to attend campaign events.
Presumably, Biden knows that U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, for whom he is expected to campaign, is a U.S. senator from the state of Rhode Island, not Road Island, wherever that is.

Road Island.... Isn't that the 57rd State?
Right after the State of Dementia - the one that Obama carried with over 98% of the vote.

Wouldn’t it be funny if Sheldon Whitehouse became President?
Then you could hear reporters say that Whitehouse was returning to the White House after an extended vacation, or something.

This isn't Biden. It's some $90,000/year civil servant, government employee for life (but only has to "work" 20 years).

The people working for this administration are the products of today's schools and colleges where they no longer teach Geography, and no one knows how to spell, because they rely on "spell checker" on their computers. It's no wonder they make these mistakes that only the illiterate would have made before the 1960's.
Proving this, I recall that in third grade I had to write the words - "United States" and "America" on the blackboard 50 times. The reason: I had turned in a drawing of our flag and under it wrote the words - the Untied Stats of Aremica. LOL! Guess I was dyslectic...but in those days, no one knew about such conditions so writing on the blackboard was the "cure."

Road Island. They were going to leave Biden on a highway median strip like an abandoned pet, unfortunately (as the song goes):
But the Veep came back the very next day,
The Veep came back, we thought he was a goner,
The Veep came back, he just wouldn't stay away.

Since Biden is allegedly drunk most of the time, I would think his staff is also comprised of substance abusers.

I did notice that, but didn’t comment, thinking that the error had been made by one of our own - I’m dizzy from seeing the plural of Kennedy and Nazi misrepresented every day - so we shouldn’t deride Biden for this until we all know how to put an S at the end of a noun to make it plural.

It must be the 57th state that BOH created in his befuddled mind
