Rick Santorum continues to lead the Michigan Republican presidential primary. Santorum leads with 37% and is followed by Mitt Romney with 32%, Ron Paul with 15%, and Newt Gingrich with 10%.
Santorum has gained 4 percentage points since a similar survey conducted February 11-12, 2012, Romney has gained 5 percentage points, and Gingrich has lost 11 percentage points since the last survey.
Santorum and Romney are tied with 35% each among self-identified Republicans, followed by Paul with 15% and Gingrich with 13%. Among self-identified independents and Democrats, Santorum leads with 40%, followed by Romney with 27%, Paul with 15%, and Gingrich with 5%.
Santorum leads Romney 38% to 30% among likely Republican primary voters saying they will definitely vote in the March 6 primary, followed by Paul with 15% and Gingrich with 11%. Romney leads Santorum 40% to 32% among those saying they will probably vote, followed by Paul with 15% and Gingrich with 6%.
Santorum leads with 46% among likely Republican primary voters saying they are supporters of the Tea Party, followed by Gingrich and Romney with 21% each and Paul with 8%. Among likely primary voters saying they are not supporters of the Tea Party or are undecided about the Tea Party, Romney leads with 38%, followed by Santorum with 32%, Paul with 19%, and Gingrich with 4%.
Santorum leads Romney 39% to 23% among men, followed by Paul with 20% and Gingrich with 13%. Romney leads Santorum 42% to 34% among women, followed by Paul with 9% and Gingrich with 7%.

Mitt’s slime machine PAC was dumping slime on FOX News this morning, running an add about Santorum’s distant past as a Comgressman with respect to his votes.

The Mad Mittens should not yet be counted out. He'll likely spend $20mil on this state alone and much of that money will be negative ads against Santorum.
There's still 10 days to go. a corrupt bastard can cover a lot of ground in 10 days. I cite Florida as an example.
