Rick Santorum made an odd comment in North Dakota on Wednesday. Praising the state for its energy production, he warned his audience that its success in the field might lead to terrorist attacks. CNN reports:
Rick Santorum warned a quiet North Dakota audience Wednesday that their states booming oil industry positioned the region as a prime target for terrorism.
Folks, youve got energy here. Theyre going to bother you

I had to LMAO over that one myself!
I didn't say that. Why would you suggest I did?
In fact it was the US EMP Commission, founded in 2001 by the US Congress. www.empcommission.org
Of course like Santorum, facts don't matter when emotion drives your mouth.
That’s what RINO’s always say.

FR is here to reveal the truth of things. One way, is to know that you cannot believe the spin from the media or other non-conservatives.
Another way, is realizing that just because someone disagrees with you, that does not make them evil.
So, list your "many moronic statements", read the sources to see what was really said, and then present the results here for our benefit. Thanks.
A bazaar is a permanent merchandising area, marketplace, or street of shops where goods and services are exchanged or sold.
Not a single mention of US Oil Production Facilities.
Who, besides you and Santorum see that as a threat?
Now, had he been in Houston speaking on the threat to that PORT and all it's storage/refineries...he'd have something.
But a shale field in North Dakota? Laughable at best.
And you are demonstrating just how stupid you are. On 9/11 the jihadists attacked the symbols of America. The Towers, the Pentagon and an attempt on th White House. If they wanted body counts they could have attacked much softer targets with thousands of people. America can sleep well tonight knowing you have no part in security.
Sorry, we're not arguing logic. You're arguing against a politician.
Of course they would hit a pipeline stateside if it serves their purpose. To pretend we know exactly what they're limited to, or where they will and where they won't do something, is too foolish for words. They were hijacking and blowing up planes in other parts of the world before they got around to doing it here, too.
Just to nitpick over a meaningless detail...
The didn't find a new one, they figured out how to really produce one discovered many decades ago.
Steerable Horizontal drilling combined with hydraulic fracturing made the difference. The reason this is important, we are seeing significant improvements in several different plays in several locations around the country.
Dear Lord! The GOP’s answer to Joe Biden!
I’m a Newt supporter, however Santorum is absolutely right about this, energy producing states, especially rural states with lower populations and a higher ratio of law enforcement to that population (meaning fewer officers per 1000 citizens for example) means that terrorists, specifically Iranian terrorist cells very likely have such states and energy producing facilities already on their list of possible targets.
To criticize and condemn Santorum for stating what is a real possibility is not only short sighted, it’s stupid as Hell. The argument about “don’t give the enemy ideas” doesn’t wash because you can bet the rent they came up with the idea a long time ago. Iran has been our enemy since 1978 and they’ve had lots of time to scope out potential U.S. targets both here in this hemisphere and throughout the world.
Our choices come down to four candidates at this point, two of which (Mitt-Witt and Ron “Bradley Manning Is A Patriot” Paul, both of which are (or should be) totally unacceptable to ANY thinking conservative.
That leaves Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum as the conservative alternative to Romney or Paul. I could vote for either one of those gentlemen with a clear conscience, and I think the sniping at either of them should cease right now.
Unlike you I served my country in a "security" capacity for a very, very long time and gained several rows of ribbons doing it. It's something I know quite a bit about.
Now take it back.
You're emerging as a disgrace to this revered forum.
Common Thack, play with this one a bit. To whomever it is, they are serious and have probably just discovered this amazing news themself for the very first time.......get it? Santorum supporter.........
I’ll say this. If the gen pub knew the things that have been discovered near pipelines hat have never made the papers, they would not be so quick to mock Santorum’s statement.
It is horrifying and a miracle that none have gone poof so far.
Just to expand on that, make it hundreds of thousands of miles of pipeline (oil and gas)

It is a lead pipe cinch that the terrorists will attack the North Dakota oil fields, and it remains to be seen if they will be successful.
But they’ll use lawyers.
The people blasting Santorum want Mitt Romney to win.
It is a simple thing.
