Romney wins CPAC with 38%.
I know, I thought that other Live thread was about that, or the Sarah thread.
I haven’t had time to read these threads and it gets confusing jumping around.
.
I know
TEA Party is getting Primetime coverage on CSPAN tonight
.
If it is, we're screwed, big time.
Actually, I think the GOP establishment types have control there...what does Bob Dole say?
Romney paid campaign staff and others to go to CPAC and vote in the straw poll. Paul also did so, but Paul didn’t get enough of his crazy followers in.
I don’t watch.
He may be able to buy the nomination, but I don't think he'll buy the election.
I don’t watch.
So, let me get this straight ... a half million TEA partiers marching on Washington meant nothing. Nothing to the Zero, nothing to the fifth column, nothing to the republicans, nothing. The 2010 election meant nothing. It would have been the same without us.
Right.
Shun away.
Ignore us at your risk. We exist, and we don’t give a flying damn if you recognize us. Prepare for an ass kicking.
Poor Bob Dole, he probably says he could have been contender if he had become a Democrat in 1950.
I think you got that right...I listened to several speakers throughout and had to turn it off for that very reason. Can't stand the "Putrefied" look which gives many of them away, nor their hand gestures or mannerisms, and certainly nothing they say is anything I want to hear from the likes of them. They infest far too many places I would otherwise support....CPAC is not one I would for that reason.
I can hear him now:
"Bob Dole could've been a contender..." (Bob Dole, 1950)
Fixed. I've been to CPAC before. Great event especially when young, fun times, good people, good memories, but I know how it works. Candidates comp the admissions of some 20 year old volunteer supporters and get their votes.
Also keep in mind that a lot of people there work for insiders. It'd D.C. It is what it is. I don't mean that as an insult, but we all know who the insiders want to win. Mitt. A lot of them think he's the one who can win. A lot of them also live in a bubble.
So he bused in a couple thousand Mormans to vote for him. So what. Never forget that Ron Paul won this poll the last two years. To win, you pay off the voters. Simple as that.
AWESOME!!!!
I don’t call it “FudgePAC” for nothing.
To me, a straw poll is meaningless because its non-binding.According to the Free Dictionary, a straw poll unofficial ballot conducted as a test of opinion.
Here in Minnesota at my caucus group the results were:
12 Santorum
12 Gingrich
3 Paul
1 Romney
This CPAC straw pole is a scam !
Yep!
