Frank Gaffney has written in FrontPage magazine an article that is much needed and long overdue: "A Troubling Influence," about the extensive ties that conservative activist Grover Norquist has with radical Islamic elements.
This is a lengthy and exhaustively documented piece about a man who has stood as a singular obstruction to efforts to alert people to the gravity of the threat from radical Islam. All of it should be read carefully, but here are a few highlights:
The association between Grover Norquist and Islamists appears to have started about five years ago, in 1998, when he became the founding chairman of an organization called the Islamic Free Market Institute, better known as the Islamic Institute. The Institute's stated purpose was to cultivate Muslim-Americans and Arab-Americans whose attachment to conservative family values and capitalism made them potential allies for the Republican Party in advance of the 2000 presidential election. . . . Unfortunately, some associated with the Islamic Institute evidently had another agenda. Abdurahman Alamoudi, for one, a self-described "supporter of Hamas and Hezbollah," the prime-mover behind the American Muslim Council (AMC) and a number of other U.S.-based Islamist-sympathizing/supporting organizations, saw in the Islamic Institute a golden opportunity to hedge his bets.

Why do some still distinguish between Islam and radical Islam?
Radical Islam intends to actively kill Christians.

Radical islam is a political fiction, probably created by people like Grover Norquist, to assuage people’s concerns about people in power....(or placed there by people like Norquist)....who have names and quesitonable loyalties. Hussein comes to mind.
He currently serves on Board of Directors of NRA. And is standing for re-election. No mention of his CAIR connection in NRA Magazine bio. He was recommended for re-election by Board.

When I first learned of that a few years back I phoned the NRA to verify it as I could not believe it!!! (No way! Not the NRA!!!) They confirmed it and their response and I quote verbatim here was: “Sir, the NRA does not care what it’s board members do on their own time” end quote. Nice huh? They knew all about his anti American dealings with CAIR etc. and did NOT CARE. I quit ‘em that day never to be back. Norquist is an agenda setter, lobbyist, fund raiser and overall heavy hitter for the American based islamic terrorist front group, CAIR. He is SCUM and the once great NRA knew/knows but does not give a darn about it!

Anyone else notice the similarity between this loan scheme and the recent “fold” by the current administration regarding mandated health insurance coverage of contraceptives, including morning after pills, to employees of Catholic non-church institutions? Both simply recast the objectionable religious issue in a different light to attain the desired end. Loans can still be made to Muslims who will still pay for the service, while free contraceptives will still be provided to employees of Catholic institutions by their insurers, who will collect the cost through the premiums charged. Doubletalk sure can work wonders.”

It is clear that Norquist has no interest in social values and does not take national security seriously since he has taken CAIR under his wing. He must be dropped as soon as possible. Sarah Palin would be a good substitute as the center for conservative fundraising.

I was shocked to read at another FR post about Grover Norquist and his Islam connections. I have a son currently in Afghanistan, so pay attention to these things. I worry about what his “no new taxes” for anything, including our military will do to our strength. Was the pledge part of a Muslim plan to weaken the US? Now I just hear GN on the radio discussing the Immigration Bill debate, and urging that something be approved. With the Boston Bombers, is he afraid that fewer Islamics/terrorists will be allowed in the country if nothing passes? Opinions anyone, or am I worrying unnecessarily?

As far as ATR goes, Grover has never done a thing for you and I as taxpayers, he works for Microsoft, GE, FAnnie Mae, foreign governments, etc...THAT is who he’s gotten tax breaks for, while we all send contributions to him.
However bad you think it is with Grover, it’s worse.
He calls us “Islamaphobic”, “Racist”, “bitter enders”, “restrictionists”, says we need to be ‘marginalized’like he did Jeff Sessions. He is the enemy within.

If you don’t already know, Grover Norquist is married to a Muslim woman. Interesting, millions of women around and he picks a Muslim.
