Union leaders are asking Democratic candidates for governor to veto the next state budget if it doesn't restore collective bargaining for public workers and at least one leading candidate - Kathleen Falk - has agreed, participants in the private meetings say.

To hell with unions!
“That’s why a million people signed recall petitions - because Scott Walker’s budgets didn’t reflect citizens’ values,”
Um........if they passed the legislature then by definition, they do reflect the citizens’ values.
Perfect. This makes the recall election razor sharp. If you want higher taxes and a budget deficit then vote for the Democrat. If you want a balanced budget and lower taxes then vote for Walker.
Plain as day!
My guess is that Walker parlays this into tens of thousands of people who got swept up in petition “I hate Walker” fever staying home on election day and Walker wins... in a walk.
I’m looking forward to the final, defeated, rasped, weepy, mumble of “but one million signed the recall...” as they watch their recall dream get crushed on election night by double digits...
This action by the unions and Falk is the exact thing that “undecideds” will react viscerally to...they were OK with Act 10 they just didn’t like the way Walker went about it...now they’re going to see that there is no get along with the left.
Bad idea having that big of a meeting...leaks always abound.

I guess government shutdowns are only a good thing when the Democrats want them
Wisconsin Toxic Union Veto Pledge

This is disgusting! From what I heard, only Falk signed the pledge. At least one other dem candidate (I don’t know the name) declined to sign it.
Do you know if Barrett is still considering running?
The state senators who left the state before the vote: THAT DIDN’T REFLECT CITIZENS’ VALUES.
FRAUDULENT RECALL PETITIONS - THAT DIDN’T REFLECT CITIZENS’ VALUES.
AND LASTLY, STOPPING THE TEA PARTY FROM RECOUNTING SIGNATURES THAT ALSO DID NOT. THEY WERE GOING TO PUT THE NAMES OF ALL SIGNERS ONLINE AS I UNDERSTAND IT.
I don’t think Barrett will run, but who knows? Apparently Kathleen Vinehout (sp) announced today. RabidRalph posted a link on the thread about Kathleen Falk. So now we have 2 Kathleens. That’ll confuse people.
The Tea Parties (Verify the Recall) are still planning to post all of their info on line, whether the GAB looks at it, or not.
Falk is a liberal union hack. Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, whom the unions don’t want to run, did use tools provided by Gov. Walker’s Budget Repair Bill to help repair the Milwaukee budget. That, in a liberal world, is a no-no.
Hah! Good!
The union leaders have not the wit to step back, concede that sometimes the other side beat them, and move on. No, they want to stay and refight this battle over and over.
While it may muster the troops, it does notning for gaining themselves any strategic advantage, now or in the future. But if they want to waste their time, treasures and moral capital fighting an issue that really does have popular support among the majority of voters who are NOT union members, that is maybe a test they have to take.
The unions must have hired Bozo the Clown as their public relations person. I hope they keep him.
Days after the election they will still be finding bags of ballots in Democrat operatives trunks and closets and they will be counted anyways.
Kathleen Falk - has agreed, participants in the private meetings say. Ms. Falk then rose from her knees, removed her knee pads, straightened her dress and wiped her mouth.
State unions making deals with the elected politicians to regulate and take money from the taxpayers.
