JFK and 19-year-old White House intern Mimi Alford -- a truly shameful revelation
Fox News ^ | February 07, 2012 | Phyllis Chesler

Posted on 02/07/2012 3:41:09 PM PST by Ron C.

This is a story about a young and impressionable female intern in the White House -- a virgin, with girlish dreams about princes and presidents. Young girls are trained to marry the wealthiest or most powerful man on the block. When the prince comes calling, few young girls can resist this opportunity.

However, they are not the ones who are abusing power and betraying both youth and a wife. That would be the prince or president himself.

And no, I am not talking about Monica Lewinsky in the Clinton White House.

I am talking, sadly, about the recent revelations by a former intern, Mimi Alford, in the Kennedy White House. Alford is no Marilyn Monroe, who was reputedly the mistress of both John F. and Robert F. Kennedy. Nor, is she Judith Exner, who was reputedly the "Mata Hari" connection between President Kennedy and Sam Giancana, a Mafia operative. These were adult women who chose to use their sexuality to further their careers.

I think the NY Daily News actually published some excerpts from the book, where JFK seduced the girl.

I started to read them, but even I had to stop a few paragraphs in. It was just too disgusting to me to read about a US president casually seducing a young girl, even one “of age”.

I know it happens, and I know JFK wasn’t the only one. But it was absolutely vile, like reading a parents sex diary. It actually hurt my heart. But I got the gist. JFK was a pig without proper regard for his mighty office.

If I remember correctly, old man Kennedy gave Jackie a million dollars to stay married to Jack while he was in the White House. Was Onassis investigated after JFK was killed?

Well, I went to a Catholic High School and was 17 when he was running. Never heard ANYTHING about his affairs OR his booze running father.

We obediently put our styrofoam hat on our heads and hopped the bus to the Kennedy reception.

When I told my dad about what we did that day...he sat me down....and explained "brain-washing" to me spiked with a little bit of Marilyn and Joe the rum runner.

I can truly thank my dad for the wisdom he bestowed on me that day.

“Jackie was a practicing Catholic and would never divorce.”

Let us not wax poetic about her Catholicism nor her piety, the only talent she ever demonstrated was the ability to chase down rich men.

“Note: That Marilyn Monroe video of her singing Happy Birthday was not shown to us until years later.”

I don’t know where you’re from, but the clip of that was shown on Los Angeles TV almost immediately.

You are confusing jfk with lbj.

No he is not. Kennedy put the first troops in Vietnam, but he refused to provide air cover as promised for the freedom fighters that we financed to invade Cuba and oust Castro. Probaly could have avoided entirely that whole Cuban missile thing.

It must be a disease of the Raunchy class, because Clinton let troops die as well when he failed to give air cover to the Black Hawk down, an unforgivable display of cowardice in my estimation.

Other than that he is a little short on Asian deaths, I guess leaving out Cambodia.

The good news: not a single member of that family is currently holding public office.

As a teenager I saw the Marilyn “Happy Birthday
Mr. President” performance on the evening news, with much additional coverage and chatter. Particular note was taken of the dress she had to be sewn into. I don’t recall any public mention for many years of an affair with JFK. Bobby was another matter, and that came out around the time of her death.

Under Kennedy, moooostly, “advisors” really did mean advisors.

I was onboard ship in the Gulf of Tonkin when Kennedy was shot, the Carriers were launching F-16's as fast as they could, months before that happened. You are right tho it did get much worse, as all Kings X type wars do.

It was known in Los Angeles at the time that JFK and MM had a “thing going on.” They often met at JFK’s brother-in-law’s house in Malibu (that would be Peter Lawford, who was married to JFK’s sister Patricia).

Seriously? F-16s from a carrier when JFK was shot?

You may have been onboard a ship in 1963 but you sure as hell were not launching F-16s, because they were not even produced until the mid 1970s.

I think it was while he was running, but I may be wrong. But I do remember the million dollars.

Jackie Kennedy’s second marriage was to a divorced man whose first wife was still alive. That’s not in keeping with Catholic teaching (based on Mark 10.9-12 and other passages).

“Vaughn Meeder”

That would be Vaughn Meader, and his career died when JFK did.

“Voters DID NOT know the truth about the Kennedys.”

As a voter at that time I resent that!

Anyone that didn’t know head their head up their backside!
