Can Mitt Romney seal the deal with the Christian right?
The Guardian ^ | 7 February 2012 | Harry J Enton

Mitt Romney won an impressive 29-percentage point victory in Saturday's Nevada caucuses. For some analysts, the triumph suggested that Romney is well on his way to winning the nomination. For me, the win was expected and confirms my forecast about where the race is heading. Romney maintains his status as the favorite for the Republican nomination, but potential trouble lurks down the road.

Romney maintains a great funding and organizational advantage in comparison to his peers. If he senses any candidate (such as Newt Gingrich) might be a serious challenge, Romney can drown out his opponent with television advertising and establishment endorsements (as Elliott Abrams describes in the National Review). Romney's ability to turn a five-point deficit in Florida into a seven-point lead in three days, with an eventual 14.5-point win, shows what his campaign is capable of doing.

The outstanding issue for Romney, though, is that he has yet failed to break through in a state that doesn't favor him demographically. Think about the states where Romney has done well: New Hampshire, Florida and Nevada. Some are liberal, some are conservative, but they share one demographic feature: they have a below-average percentage of Republican primary (or caucus) voters who identify as born-again Christians or evangelicals. The two states, Iowa and South Carolina, in which Romney has fared poorly have an above-average percentage of Republican primary (or caucus) voters who so identify.

Graphically, the relationship between born-again Christian and evangelical and the Romney vote becomes quite clear. Romney's percentage of the vote as opposed to the proportion won by the conservative alternatives (by now, just Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum) tallies quite closely with the percentage of voters in a state's exit polls who say they are born-again Christian or evangelical.

Interesting analysis. He's still in doubt.

No, NEVER! Mit Romney is the leader of a CULT who believes all of Christianity is APOSTASY and that he is going to become “god” of his own planet. He also believes his wife is going to pump out “spirit children” like the queen alien in the movie ALIENS and that her spawn of “spirit children” are going to WORSHIP and SERVE “god” Mit for all of eternity! This is nothing short of heresy and Mit Romney is a heretic who has NOTHING in common with the Christian right or with Christianity.

That sounds like a low budget science fiction movie made in the 1950’s, “Queen of Outer Space” starring Zza Zza Gabor.

Christianity is monotheistic. Mittens believes in many, many gods. No way he squares that with Christians. It’s as different as Christianity and Islam.

Graphically, the relationship between born-again Christian and evangelical and the Romney vote becomes quite clear.

Simple reason for that: Romney is not a Christian, but a member of a cult that wants the world to believe they are Christian.

I am a Christian American.
I have reached the point where I will no longer vote for “the lesser of two evils”.
I will not vote for RINO’s and Mr Romney is certainly in that group.

Negative.

Barack Obama will be re-elected and it will be the mormon's fault.

We've been screaming from the rooftops about this here for four years !

Just wait until the primary is over and Obama and the MSM will have all of us trying to defend all of FLDS/LDS "Prophets" Joseph Smith and Brigham Young's CRAZY DOCTRINES about men living on the moon and sun, the "hollow earth theory", fruits and vegetables having souls....and oh yeah, Smith's false prophecy about the Christ's return in 1891.

By the time Obama is done with Romney he'll look (justifiably) as kooky as Harold Camping.

If the Gingich campaign or a Super Pac would use the Nuclear Option of exposing the Mormon Political Agenda, our country could be spared a lot of unnecessary pain.

Hannity brags a lot about how he vetted Obama. I have just challenged him to have as his guest Tricia Erickson a former Mormon Bishop’s daughter. Her book, “Can Mitt Romney Serve Two Masters?” Subtitle: Why an Indoctrinated Mormon Must Never be Elected President of the United States, was featured in “Christian News Today”. I first heard of her on a local radio station.

It is an abomination that so many well meaning Christians do not understand that Mormonism is not Christian, nor do they understand the Political Agenda of the Mormon church.

Time is running out for us to get a candidate nominated that can win. We can get the truth out there now about Romney, or wait for the DNC to do it.

Check out Tricia Erickson’s book: CAN MITT ROMNEY SERVE TWO MASTERS?

Tricia’s father served as a Bishop the same time that Romney served as Bishop. She knows his background and exposes it Has been doing some book reviews on local radio programs.

Please pass the word. Maybe with freepers help she will get a national book review.
