Ann Coulter: Tea Party are hypocrites if they vote for Newt (Watch Video)
The Right Scoop ^ | 02/05/2012

Ann Coulter, the columnist who just defended RomneyCare, told Bret Baier that the Tea Party would prove they are hypocrites if they vote for the candidate who “influence peddled” at Freddie Mac:

It’d be one thing if she were saying this as a supporter of Santorum, but Romney? C’mon.

Ann did support Romney openly in 2008, so the Christie thing may have been a temporary flirtation. This was the main article where she endorsed Romney in January, 2008, but there were other articles where she tried to argue points like Romney was more conservative than Fred Thompson because Thompson voted against impeaching Clinton:

History shows that Congress almost always moves in the opposite direction of the party affiliation of the President in the mid terms. Democrat president, Republicans gain seats in Congress; Republican president, Democrats gain seats in Congress -- because people think that they're "balancing" power by voting that way. Not necessariy majority wins of the opposite party, but gains in seats.

The people who voted for Obama in the first place I figure are mostly Godless, and I also think Obama -- and most liberals -- are illigitimate, that they are the products of a minority that has fraudulently seized power. Democrats have to cheat to win because if they didn't, they'd lose for lack of votes. I believe that most Americans are Godly enough to have rejected Obama. But Romney presents the temptation to God-fearing, God-loving people to vote FOR someone they know is an agent of evil and depravity, but who would rationalize and try to justify voting for a person who has used his political office and taxpayer money to advance depravity that God-loving people abhor.

I think God would judge harshly those who would vote such, because they are not Godless liberals -- they KNOW BETTER, but would vote such because they lack the courage and faith of voting such to put God before Country.

And as for Republicans fighting statism coming from Romney, certainly fellow Republicans who lean to the left would chastize limited government Republicans for failing to support the Republican administration. The same statism coming from Obama, Republicans could unite to fight.

And, pray tell, what will we be if we vote for Romney, in the primaries, instead of Newt, or Santorum?

Seems like Ann likes health insurance mandates from Romney, but if they come from Newt, they’re bad...

http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2011-12-14.html

It’s true that Newt has had some good ideas — but also boatloads of bad ones, such as his support for...an individual health insurance mandate

http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2012-02-01.html

THREE CHEERS FOR ROMNEYCARE!
February 1, 2012

The only reason the “individual mandate” has become a malediction is because the legal argument against Obamacare is that Congress has no constitutional authority to force citizens to buy a particular product.

The hyperventilating over government-mandated health insurance confuses a legal argument with a policy objection.

The problem isn’t health insurance mandates.

You know, after the years I’ve watched all you guys in here panting over Ann Coulter, (and I liked her, too, tho most of my agreement with you males was with the “somebody buy that girl a Big Mac” posts) I’m laughing myself silly at all the sudden venom directed at her for supporting the wrong candidate(s). Come on, her last two books were yawners, you knew it, and you’ve seen that she’s mostly about showcasing herself, no reason she shouldn’t be, and you’re just now noticing?

We’ve watched her heading into the Twilight Zone for a while now, and there’s usually a reason why people do that. Putting aside the guesses I’ve seen in FR from cruel to funny to thoughtful, I see a lot of talk about her dating Bill Maher. I never watched the jerk, so I only know what I read about him in here. There is such a thing as mind control practiced on a woman - sometimes a very strong woman, not a weak one - by some man - I’ve seen it firsthand in my family. It can be spiritualistic or something else, maybe many things - I’m no expert - but the woman can turn into a totally different person. And I have seen that. It happens.

So ... I’m just throwing out a “what if” here, I guess. Stranger things have happened. People can change for reasons we would never guess. Anyone else think this is possible with Ann?

She supported Romney in 2008 also, as did Drudge. His relationship with the Romney campaign dates back to then via Romney’s operative Matt Rhoades. Drudge and Coulter are BFFs and he promotes her books. They also have ties to the gay agenda/gay lobby. What most people are upset about from the Romney camp are the lies, spin and major flip-flopping on their own opinions about Newt and of course other issues such as the health care mandate. Destroying an all-time great conservative hero is not the way to win people over to your candidate. And appearing to be an absolute liar and opportunist isn’t either, especially when it helps confirm people’s opinion that the very candidate they’re supporting does the same things.

Thank you, I see what you are saying now about how Congress might actually fight harder to oppose statism coming from Obama than they would Romney (assuming the Repubs take majorities in both houses). But in the end, if we do have only those two choices in the voting booth, we just vote everything down ballot and then leave the top blank? I pray, pray, pray we aren’t left with that, but for the first time ever, I would leave the ballot blank or vote for some minor third party candidate. We can’t even use the argument of Supreme Court justices this time as Romney would appoint just as liberal ones as Obama would.

Why then, I ask would we wish to read the words of a CINO (conservative-in-name-only) like Ann Coulter who has made common cause with the very dirtbag this website is sworn to oppose?

***

We read lots of “barf alert” documents from leftists here on FR.

That being said:

1) I don’t read Ann Coulter any more
2) I never post her stuff
3) When I see her stuff on FR, I will read less and less. Me coming into this thread was a reflex

Have a great day.
