In a profanity-laced tirade, a Memphis DJ last week used an on-air interview to berate a local Republican congressional candidate -- calling her a "token negro" who is doing the bidding of "white folk."
DJ Thaddeus Matthews called Charlotte Bergmann, who is black, "stupid." He referred to her as a "curly-haired nigga." When she walked out of the interview, he refused to shake her hand, saying he didn't want to get her "whiteness" on him.
The outrage? The fury? In Memphis, you can hear the crickets.
Bergmann told FoxNews.com that, while the web video of the interview has gotten a lot of attention on blogs, local media are largely ignoring it. She said she hasn't gotten any calls from politicians about it. "No organization has spoken out," Bergmann said. ...

Mr. Matthews should get his ass out of that studio - permanently.
Good Lord, how rude. Disgraceful behavior.

This is why I do not take the entire narrative about 'racist America' the least bit seriously anymore.
I'm shocked.
The reason outrage is subdued is because this DJ is a nobody. He has some blues station in Memphis on the AM dial. It sounds like the radio equivalent of public access television. If you watch the vid of the interview in question, it looks like it was conducted in someones home bathroom. This DJ isn’t worth the attention he is getting.
“””He referred to her as a “curly-haired nigga.”””””
Good thing he didn’t call her a nappy headed ho, that really gets people wound up. Oh wait, she’s a Republican, never mind.
Welcome to that wonderful time of the year: Black History Month!
Sounds like something Chris Matthews might do...
Memphis is a 3rd world country.
IN today’s world - only Republicans/Conservatives can be racist.
Allen West is called a racist.
Lloyd Marcus is called a racist
And these two men are in the same company as Rush Limbaugh and anyone else who uses the evil “racist code word” - “responsibility”.
But Americans, in general, swallow the racist hate spewed by Liberals as just common sense talk - why? Because of too many decades of government (Marxist) education that has brainwashed generations to believe that Liberal/Progressive/Socialism is good - and Conservatism and responsibility of the individual is bad/evil/and Hitler-like.
doing the bidding of “white folk.”
Who is this guy? He sure gets around.
“But Americans, in general, swallow the racist hate spewed by Liberals as just common sense talk - why?”
Americans seem to be doing just fine by having the blacks contracept and abort themselves out of existence; they’ve turned over all of their freebies and privileges to Hispanics, who in turn are proceeding to displace blacks in the workforce, government, even prison. Blacks are headed the way of the Indians with a lot of help from white liberals, and this DJ story is one of the reasons why.
“Black America” is even more marginalized than when Obama took office, but it is the elephant in the corner that nobody talks about.

Unfortunately, the racist Thaddeus Matthews is the CEO and General Manager of that station... His blog is the “official” web site of the station.
I don’t suppose an FCC investigation would matter, as the President completely agrees with this racist (just mirrors his “preacher” in Chicago).
His web sites biggest sponsor is a bonding company! LOL!
Even the headline is misleading. This is racism, pure and simple. Yes, you can be racist against people of your own race. Anyone can hate anyone else based on skin color and ethnicity.
And it doesn’t surprise that the DJ got away with it, either. Just like in the old South, certain types of bigotry are politely accepted, and certain types are not. We should stop being so polite.
Well, there IS a bit of a resemblence.
You may be on to something, there...
Yep - I thought that was hilarious! And appropriate too - as it really speaks to his listener base!
