Today at the far right fever swamp known as Free Republic, somebody posted a link to our latest article about Ron Paul’s connections to the white supremacist subculture, which led to an amusing and revealing sequence of comments.

Charles Johnson is just weird. I was an infrequent poster over at LGF for a few years after he seemingly had an epiphany post-9/11. Then he started backsliding to the left again and got more and more erratic. I finally got banned over there not because I posted anything objectionable, but because I “downvoted” one of his replies to a post. That’s it. He said something stupid, I downvoted it, and I was immediately banned with no explanation and no opportunity for appeal.
I don’t even read over there anymore. He’s gone totally moonbat since about 2009.

The posters to that thread think Ron Paul is a big favorite over here. Smug and ignorant.

I thought that site closed years ago. Seriously, I didn’t know they still had a url.
I never read the site, unless it’s quoted here. That said, every time I see someone post idiotic comments that make this site look racist or worse, I cringe, and know that somewhere it’s going to appear on somebody’s screen capture—all too often, it’s on a show with high ratings, like O’Reilly. I may not watch O’R, but millions do.
Which is why he did it (took on Freep) - he wanted the hits. He has no real traffic anymore, no one links to him, and so he makes provocative comments to try to get people to visit his site. He continually snarks on Rush or Beck trying to get a mention on their shows but they aren’t playing. To give you an idea, this is some of the brilliance “Chucky Cheetos Johnson” has evidenced:
1. Thought the Tennessee State flag being flown at a TEA Party rally in 2010 was a flag with obscure Nazi symbols.
2. Said Breitbart was “framing” Weiner and still is convinced to this day that he was. Flatly maintains that the menu board in front of the restaurant was Breitbart’s laptop open to show photos to Ann Coulter.
3. Continually posts headlines that turn out to be over a year old. Does no real research on his own.
But I remember him best, even when he was an ersatz conservate, for pretty much claiming HE was the one who was responsible for getting Dan Rather with his silly little visual aid .gif file (which was actually suggested by someone else) - never credited Buckhead with the discovery or acknowledged him.
I admit I got a chuckle from the demented Chuckles, but can Freepers please stop linking to that freak’s site.
Sounds like a real winner - or weiner...
Like anyone here really give a rat’s hind foot about LGF or Chunky Cheetos and his online cult. We don’t change jack in our comments because you’re listening in, jerk. You don’t matter. Period.

Exactly.
Oh, and he whines all the time about “stalker” sites that hold him up to ridicule, like Breitbart and Diary of Daedalus, for taking his postings and comments and making fun of them (Breitbart does it on Twitter).
Of course, prior to his “conversion to the left” he did the same thing to Daily KOS, Huffington Post and Democratic Underground before he wanted them to be his new best friends.
