Donald Trump endorsed Mitt Romney for president Thursday, saying he's impressed by the Republican candidate's debate prowess and believes he could easily beat President Obama in November.
"Mitt is tough. He's smart. He's sharp. He's not going to allow bad things to continue to happen to this country that we all love," Trump said in Las Vegas, telling the candidate to "go out and get 'em."
The real estate mogul, speaking briefly with reporters before the announcement, said that even though he "never knew" Romney before the race began, he's come to know him in recent months.
"His general attitude and the last two debates were very impressive," Trump said.
He also cited Romney's position on China, calling the former Massachusetts governor

One Rockefeller Republican endorsing another.
Is the GOP REALLY going to nominate a Massachusetts liberal? Still can’t believe it.

What? FREEPERS were cheering that he was going to endorse Newt and calling him a great conservative. I wonder if the FREEPERS will change their tone now. See I can’t stand Trump. Never could and knew he was a fraud. Had a lot of blast for saying such things but as usual I am right. Eggs are available.....

Back when combover boy was leading all the birthers around by the nose, I told ya again and again and again that he was no conservative, but a crony capitalist who would sell out conservatism in a "New York Minute".
Told ya so, birthers.

It’s funny that the talking head on CNN said “one rich guy, endorsed by another very rich guy.”

He could endorse Obama before it’s through. He was going to endorse Gingrich a few days ago, then Romney outbid him. Of course, he could change his mind next week.

I feel the same about Trump. But when he was floating the idea of running for president, I had an exchange with relatives who live in Nevada. They are not political, but they brought up the subject and said they and their friends were excited about the prospect of Trump running. I laughed. Just an anecdote, but maybe they are reflective of the sway of a Trump endorsement in Nevada.
