Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum has picked up an endorsement from former Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo (tan-KRAY-doh).
The failed gubernatorial and presidential candidate is a tea party favorite.
Santorum was campaigning in Colorado on Wednesday ahead of next week's GOP caucuses there in hopes of building some momentum for his White House bid. Santorum also was endorsed Wednesday by former congressman Bob Shaffer and former Lt. Gov. Jane Norton.

Newt should be strong enough on his own merits and not win because someone drops out. Since that seems to be the concensus that Newt can only win if Santorum drops out means that Newt is a very weak nominee.
Santorum is the weak candidate. No one said Newt can ‘only’ win if Santorum drops out, but right now he seems to be Mitt’s right hand. I’m speaking more to Santorum’s state of mind in staying in the race when he clearly has no chance of winning the nom. I question his purpose.
There is a major difference between saying “I’m a Conservative”, and voting opposite of that very thing.
Rick Santorum, who is typical of many Roman Catholics, is socially conservative but fiscally a bleeding heart liberal. He is what he is, and I accept that. For that reason alone, I will not vote for him. Why?
Becasue we need someone who will change the way Washington does business, and Rick Santorum hasn’t met an earmark that hasn’t made him swoon.
I question his purpose.
It really is not your business to question his purpose. You are one vote and for you to go from thread to thread saying the same boring nonsense is not necessary. Santorum has every right to stay in the race. He has 4.5 million dollars left and will win some caucus’ and primaries as he already has in Iowa. No reason whatsoever should he get out unless he decides he wants to. He is the ONLY one who can call for him to get out. You can have your ONE vote like the rest of us.
Santorum picked the establishment traitor Arlen Spector over Pat Toomey in the Republican Primary.
A very good decision but you know that. It was brilliant but you don’t understand a thing. It was more important to the United States than anything else these candidates have done. We will be glad for his decision for decades but you know that. You are just running your month on nothing.
Of course as a voter it’s my business to question his purpose. What a ridiculous thing to say. As for ‘going from thread to thread’...you’re not talking to ‘me’, dude.
ps. Talk about anointing someone. Nor my business!? Did you vote for Obama in another life?
Well, I disagree with your assessment of Rick Santorum’s record.
You might also want to ask why the Newt supporters keep spewing this crap about Santorum endorsing Spector over Pat Toomey, and ask them why Toomey supported the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t tell, and ask them why Toomey supported the repeal of the ban in the military of sodomy and bestiality.. for some reason, the Newt supporters refuse to answer that question because they are disingenuous, hypocritical.
Santorum is so strong he ends up in third or fourth place. I think the real worshipers here are the Santorum people. He has NO chance and yet you cling to him. Like...you want Romney to win or something.
I’m a big fan of Pat Toomey, so I was heartbroken when, right after he was elected, he caved in to the gay lobby on the repeal of DADT. I knew Toomey was more of a principled economic conservative than a social conservative, but he had voted 100% pro-life after he saw his child’s ultrasounds during his first term in Congress and he hadn’t raised any red flags on other social issues. I hope the repeal of DADT was a one-time slip-up by Toomey.
” no charisma. “
Ahhh yes, people want the American Idol ( worship ) Presidential candidate who can “ WOW “ the people with with great eloquence....

That’s where we are now. Pray that it change, and the USA worship substance.
That being said, I have seen many posts here describing Santorum as a big government conservative.
I initially supported Palin, then Bachman, then Cain, and now I’ve “fallen” to Gingrich. I’m not asking you to do anything I have not done m’self.
Blessings to you!
