Seriously
- American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe was impressed with President Obama's short version of the Al Green tune "Let's Stay Together." So much so that he Tweeted the President and invited him to come perform on the show, stating the following
"@BarackObama we loved your vocal performance so much we'd love to invite you on to #AmericanIdol this Season for a duet with Al Green."

I do remember reading that Simon Cowell supported the conservative candidate for Britain's prime minister. And the father of one of the female judges (Deleguardia?) was a Republican member of Congress from New York back in the 1980s.
Glad I never watched that show. America already elected the American Idol president. What moronic tripe...and these are the same people that let Steve Tyler sing the National anthem... What a world, what a world.
New job op for him on 1/20/13?
The marriage of the “American Idol President” and the show wrought by the combination of populist celebrity worship and the dumbing down of America was inevitable.
The kenyan belongs on “America’s Most Wanted”.
The kenyan belongs on “America’s Most Wanted”.
FOX and Drudge win either way
They get obama they can have their homosexual agenda
Romney wins after they take out Newt and boy they’re going after Newt like he was the devil then they still get their homosexual agenda.
Idiocracy.
It’s a movie that was supposed to be a comedy. Turns out to be prophetic.
During election season candidates do strange things.
Remember Dick Nixon on Laugh-In?
“Sock it to me”?
This marxist too will do anything to be re-elected.
Just another reason why I don’t watch this piece of cr** or dancing with the stars or bachelor...etc, etc
“This marxist too will do anything to...”
1. Put his ugly mug on TV
2. Impress his misfit constituents
3. Do anything but what’s good for America
4. Endear himself to people with similar IQ’s...60-70
5. Campaign on our time and money
......
100. Show he doesn’t need a teleprompter to sing 10 words.
Of course, hussein would never want appear on anything with America or American in the title anyway. That goes against his anti-American leanings. Maybe if they called it "American Apology" instead...(not satire)
I'm not surprised that they would consider hussein though. I occasionally watch it near the beginning of the season to see some of the raw talent, and near the end of the season just to see if there is any real singing talent. The few times I've bothered to watch that show in the last couple of years it has become startlingly apparent that it no-longer has anything to do with singing or finding talent. The only talent they are interested in is people with no inhibitions willing to make fools of themselves on national TV. It is a platform for idiocy and for the three "judges" to generate artificial controversy and tension.
American Idol might have been something neat when it first started. However, it has morphed into a caricature of its former self. If they actually do stoop so low as to bring hussein on I'll never bother to watch again. No big loss out of my life.
Have we EVER had a less-Presidential occupant of the White House (it’s a White Hut right now, though)?????
This is idiotic of Idol. It was a conservative vote that got in Scotty McCreary and Chris Martin (I think that was his name—he was a church choir leader after all). They’ll sink their viewership even lower if they do this...
If he appears on this show in an election year, I will consider this an endorsement by Fox and will have no part of watching ANY of their affiliated networks. Take that to the bank.

He sings a lot better than he runs a country.
