Romney’s negative ratings soaring among independents (Mitt Proving He's Unelectable)
The Washington Post ^ | 1-27-2012 | Greg Sargent

.....

I’ve got a new partisan breakdown of some numbers from the new NBC/WSJ poll, and here’s the verdict: Romney’s unfavorability rating among independents has spiked 20 points in the last two months.

The poll found that among overall Americans, Romney is rated very or somewhat positively by 31 percent, while he’s rated very or somewhat negatively by 36 percent............

In November, Romney was rated somewhat or very negatively by 22 percent of independents.

In December, Romney was rated somewhat or very negatively by 29 percent of independents.

And in the new poll, Romney was rated somewhat or very negatively by 42 percent of independents — 20 points higher than two months ago.

Also: In November, Romney was beating Obama 47-34 among those voters. Now the numbers are upside down: Obama is beating Romney 44-36.

(A recent Post/ABC News poll also found Romney’s negative rating among independent had jumped to 51 percent.)...........

“Romney’s lack of connection with average people and Obama’s improving numbers on the economy account for the turnaround with independents,” Hart said.

“It’s not as though they have said Bain has disqualified him or that he can’t be trusted because of his taxes — but this has created a gulf between him and the average voter,” Hart said. “Bain and the taxes just reinforce the sense that this person is in a different world. If you’re an independent voter not driven by partisanship, you read all the other tea leaves to decide who is going to fight your fight.”

“When he was only the opponent of Obama, he was getting the independent vote as the alternative,” Hart says. “Now they see him in full relief, and they’re saying, `This isn’t my guy.’

I believe that the RINOCRATS will force this liberal sack of crap on us.

He will lose 60/40.

I will laugh. My laughter will be tinged with a little sadness knowing that a conservative would have beaten Obama, but that since the RINOCRATS choose to not be conservative any longer, they choose electoral death.

I hope the new party that rises from these ashes does not sell out like a common street whore....like the RINOCRATS.

He looks like a desperate whiney loser

He does not ACT at all Presidential

When Gingrich stares him down he looks weak and pathetic

Can you imagine that type of behavior in a debate with Obambi? Orchestrated by libtard media?

Romney supports Obamacare and will allow it to stand and has flip flopped on major conserative policies and political parties so much that he looks much like a typical democrat.

This rejects the notion made by Ann Coulter and the etsablishment GOP INCLUDING Chris Christie, Nikki Haley and Marco Rubio that Mittens is the most electable GOP candidate.

How can he be “the most electable” when most of the GOP wants someone else.

Why are you handing so much perceived power to the RINOs?

We’re in a contest.

We are going to win. Never give up.

“We are going to win.”

Ok. Explain how.

All of that is quite true. It does not unfortunately affect the reality of the numbers.

This is what the Establishment calls an electable candidate who appeals to Independents? Those insiders are becoming more tone deaf with every election cycle.

I don’t know if the United States can survive a second Obama term.

If Romney had been unopposed for the nomination, this would have happened in the Fall, when it would be too late. It is better that it happens now. Conservatives haven’t finished vetting Romney.

NBC Nightly’s lead story was that women would reject Newt 2 to 1. If true, this is a worrisome statistic.

I highly respect your faith. The onslaught of the MSM and “news” sources like FAUX Snooze, they are all Romney, all the time. If they show Newt, it is in a bad light, very short and unflattering. If one were to time the soundbites, pundits, etc, for Romney, the ratio would be about 80% Romney, 20% split evenly between Santorum and Newt.

Even in this scenario, the race in Florida will be very close, and it seems that Romney has done some early ballot box stuffing, with the early voting/absentee propaganda. And since Romney has been the only candidate pouring millions for months into Florida, on brainwashing ads about how “Conservative” Romney is and how he will part the seas and walk on water, we can be assured that Romney will either win or tie.

I hope you can muster a miracle for our side, I hope we can myself. One thing we can expect, is this primary will be razor-thin close.

Women hate Obama as well. They might give Gingrich a chance as they are not seeing things well these days.

That's a bunch of crap. In all so these “surveys” where Women hate Newt, another unbiased survey will show the exact opposite. Look at SC. Newt was supposed to be hated by women there by at least 3 to 1. And the real statistics as well as the vote, showed the opposite.

The MSM wants Romney as our candidate. Because Romney can't get over 25% support no matter how hard he lies or tries.
Obama will trounce Romney in the General and the MSM knows it.
