No Murtha Ship!
Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus plans to honor the late Congressman John Murtha by giving his name to the Navy's new LPD (Transport Dock Ship), to be launched in 2013.
In doing so, Sec. Mabus is breaking the Navy's tradition of naming its San Antonio-class amphibious transports after American cities. He is also honoring a man who:
We believe that such a man does not deserve to be honored by the U.S. Navy. If you agree, please help us petition Secretary Mabus to reconsider this outrageous decision....
Remember, Murtha was Nancy Pelosi’s “guy”.....
Anti-American commies flock together...
Any suggestions or possibility of success?
This outrage must be stopped. What other San Antonio class LPDs have been named and launched? What was this one going to be named before Mabus stuck his nose in?
Of possible interest to your ping lists?

This looks like the beginning of the campaign. This website just launched today.
A final Murtha Watch ping, for a good cause.
For your information, Jim!
Oliver North & Haditha Marine ping, for a very good cause!
The Murtha Watch Ping List! That brings back some memories! :-)
Good! Any ship bearing Murtha’s name would have been jinxed!
It sure does, had to bring it out of retirement. :-)
Maybe he got kicked out.
Pathetic, disgraceful, senile ping!
And, guess where the strong-arm on Mabus comes from. What do these people enjoy so much about autrocity? New definition of domestic terrorism; insulting the public beyond all levels of tolerance.
There have been far too many recent decisions from DC that disgust me, and planning to name a warship (one of ours!) for Murtha is high on that list. I can’t imagine how embarrassing it would be to serve on a ship with that name. I suspect its crew, and perhaps even the captain, would lie and claim they are serving time in the brig rather than admit something as shameful as serving on a ship named for that disgusting traitor.
Courtesy Ping! :)
No Murtha Ship ping.
Only the rats would think it’s a good idea to honor a congressman for his corruption.
