These bastards are going scorched earth. Flawed as Newt is I’ll happily support him to bury Romney and his ilk anywhere I can.

If Newt doesn’t get the nod, we have to go third party.

A Romney surrogate? How bizarre. But maybe this is the angel Moroni or somebody from the planet Romney intends to get after his death, or maybe one of the many wives who will be gracing that planet...

The Washingon DC party is terrified of Gingrich...Romney who represents the party’s right and Obama, the party’s left have this much in agreement...Newt might stop the gravytrain...can’t have that.

Gingrich is talking about investigating the fed...and the crooks who ran fannie/freddie...can’t have that.

I honestly believe if Gingrich gets the nomination the Washington insiders will consider assassination. They are that scared of him.

I’m betting that since audience reaction will be allowed at the next debate, Romney and his people will try to pack the venue with their own.

“Gingrich said he would not be sending any surrogates to the Romney events because ‘he doesn’t say anything worth rebutting.’”

Romney is really attacking the Tea Party conservatives, Newt is just the surrogate target.

The establishment is projecting, just like liberals. After the democrats have screamingly accused republicans of dividing the country these last 3 years, it is the conservatives who stood up and fought while the establishment hides in the corner and waits for the next opportunity to ‘cut a deal’.

What we are witnessing is the establishment GOP, determined to kill the elephant by suicide. We may or may not get Newt through to the nomination, but the establishment is assuring us that we all are going down. This crap is not doing anything to make Romney a good candidate.

Lifting Romney up is like trying to pick up a turd from the clean side.

We need a Palin right now to get out and campaign with him.

This is them vs us. If you cannot see that now, one never will.

It is clear now that they view us as the enemy, and we should treat them accordingly.

Not rallying aroung the nominee this time, GOP Establishment.

You’d better get a George Allen or someone in the race to replace Mitt if you want any shot in hell at winning in November.

These Republican clowns of 2012 who might, if they possessed principles and fortitude, keep liberty and the Republic for future generations (as in Benjamin Franklin's meaning in his response to a questioner, "A Republic, if you can keep it") are shortsighted and, instead, are willing to sacrifice the liberty of generations yet unborn in order to "force" their hand-picked candidate on the populace.

Instead, they are so devoid of understanding and so filled with their own sense of Party that they will run a candidate whose money and organization, they believe, will keep them in power in the House and Senate.

And, that candidate, when asked what he has been doing to preserve and promote the conservative cause answers that he has married, had a family and worked "in the private sector," and quickly switches to other things. Meanwhile, there are numbers of business people in those same years who were out there every day using their earnings and abilities to warn America that the American dream was being lost and that American memory was being erased of the principles of liberty.

What a potential candidate!! His wealth will be resented and used as a "cause" for defeating him, and his lack of ability to explain the Founders' ideas underlying freedom for individuals will go unexplained for another generation.
