~Favorite Life Song's~
Frank Sinatra - That's Life
That's life, that's what people say.
You're riding high in April, Shot down in May. But I know I'm gonna change their tune, When I'm right back on top in June.
That's life, funny as it seems. Some people get their kicks, Steppin' on dreams But I just can't let it get me down,
Cause this big old world keeps spinnin' around.
I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, A poet, a pawn and a king. I've been up and down and over and out But I know one thing: Each time I find myself flat on my face, I pick myself up and get back in the race.
That's life, I can't deny it,
I thought of quitting, But my heart just won't buy it. Cause if I didn't think it was worth a try, I'd have to roll myself up in a big ball and die.

Mike & The Mechanics - The living Years
Every generation Blames the one before And all of their frustrations
Come beating on your door
I know that I'm a prisoner To all my father held so dear I know that I'm a hostage To all his hopes and fears I just wish I could have told him In the living years
Crumpled bits of paper
Filled with imperfect thought Stilted conversations I'm afraid that's all we've got
You say you just don't see it He says it's perfect sense You just can't get agreement In this present tense We all talk a different language
Talking in defence
Say it loud, say it clear You can listen as well as you hear It's too late when we die To admit we don't see eye to eye
So we open up a quarrel Between the present and the past We only sacrifice the future
It's the bitterness that lasts
So don't yield to the fortunes You sometimes see as fate It may have a new perspective On a different day And if you don't give up, And don't give in You may just be OK
Say it loud, say it clear You can listen as well as you hear It's too late when we die To admit we don't see eye to eye
I wasn't there that morning When my father passed away I didn't get to tell him All the things I had to say.
I think I caught his spirit Later that same year I'm sure I heard his echo In my baby's new born tears I just wish I could have told him In the living years
Say it loud, say it clear You can listen as well as you hear
It's too late when we die To admit we don't see eye to eye

DFU SONG: When I’m 64 (Mary Jo, Teddy the drunken lifeguard, and Charles Pierce)
DFU SONG PARODIES | 12-2003 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland
Posted on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 7:26:19 AM by doug from upland
QUOTE OF THE YEAR “If she had lived, Mary Jo Kopechne would be 62 years old. Through his tireless work as a legislator, Edward Kennedy would have brought comfort to her in her old age.”
- Charles Pierce in the Boston Globe Magazine. Kopechne died when an air pocket ran out of air in 6 feet of water while trapped in Kennedy’s submerged car off Chappaquiddick Island in 1969, an accident Kennedy did not report for several hours.
MIDI - WHEN I’M 64
http://ifnimidi.com/rock/beatles/ (Sgt Pepper Album)
He had submerged her then ran away...many years ago
Charles Pierce knows Teddy still would be her friend...looked out for her right to the end
Please stop your laughing...give him a break...come on, it is true
Had he not killed her...he would have helped her when she’s 62
Teddy would have saved her that night had he...finished lifeguard class
He dropped out so friends heard him say...fill another glass
He is a drunk and he is a slug...that is clear to all
He had lots of Scotch and emptied out the fridge...then went driving drunk off the bridge
Please stop your laughing...give him a break...come on, it is true
Had he not killed her...he would have helped her when she’s 62
Teddy would have helped her out that night, you must believe he would if he had time to...finish lifeguard class
He dropped out so friends heard him say...fill another glass
Yes, he is bloated and he is scum...tell us, what’s the point
DemocRATS don’t answer for crimes they commit...right wing whackos, get over it
Please stop your laughing...give him a break...come on, it is true
Had he not killed her...he would have helped her when she’s 62

So very true, yorkie. Beautiful and sad. Lately, I watch the days fly by and now am wondering where January went so fast. I think the older I get, the faster time goes by. So good to see you, dear Yorkie! Thanks for the ping!

Hey, Quix! I’m healing - thanks to all the prayers my FReeper FRiends have sent Up, in my behalf! The therapy is very painful and difficult - but it is bringing me back from the brink, with a crushed upper torso. ((((HUGS))))

I MISSED you...((HUGS))
Have a great Thursday evening.
Swamped here...they have dictated that we are going paperless. This is creating TERRIBLE PROBLEMS and lots of little meetings amongst ourselves trying to figure out what to do with our essential notes on problems. The auditors are going to love no notes on how we got what we got.
