How many debates are too many? Well when Romney is getting his arse kicked, that is apparently the deciding number.
I, like others, believe they are alluding to the Gingrich/Obama debates,
in which Gingrich exposes Obama for the Marxist that he is, then tears him apart with it.
Not EVEN! I wanna see Newt bloody him so badly they will need a forensics blood splatter expert to figure out where o ba ma’s brains actually exploded.
I don’t care if I ever see another debate. They are staged crap. It’s like watching a monster truck rally. Well, I like monster truck rally’s but still . . .
“I think in the 21st hour of Newts 7, 3 hour Lincoln/Douglas style debates, Ill start feeling a bit guilty for enjoying the thrashing Obama receives......”
I have a feeling that Obama will never agree to these debates (or any debates, really). How would he even have a prayer of successfully defending his first term?
There’s never enough debate!!!!
Are you scared media, obama, liberals....?
Cobra, you are correct. I live in S. Florida and now received this afternoon my 4th Romney campaign mailer. Beautiful glossy paper fold-out 11x11 with Mitt’s picture and fluff inside and a picture of a little girl holding an upturned piggy bank on the outside. Without the debates this is what we would have to go on.
We as a national conservative base need to keep digging below the glossy exterior and then we see it is nothing but a false veneer. Romney has already spent a ton in FL and Saturday night vaporized it. Romney spends on attacks and fluff, Newt wins with content and passion!
Yeah, I know ... it’s “rallies”. Oops.
Here’s my prediction.
Obama chickens out of ANY debates.
Newt follows his ever public statement with a rebuttal within 4 hours.
After about a month of that BO will decide he needs a face to face debate or two.
The debates are driving this primary season, instead of all of Mitt Romney’s money.
Suddenly, the Establishment Media decides there are “too many” debates.
Sorry MFM... We’ll pick our own candidate!
I sure hope you’re right. When Obama doesn’t have a clue what the answer to a question is, he tries to fillibuster the situation. That would not work well in a timed debate situation. After a while, it would become fairly obvious to the viewers how incoherent his answers would be—that is, if the debate moderators actually asked questions whose answers were worth hearing.
I only watch the highlights on YouTube. And the only highlight I’ve watched is Newt beating up John King! And I’ve seen that one about 60 times!!! And that’s all I need.
I am still waiting for a question on federal spending. Duh
How many are too many? Any, if you’re a RAT supporting Obama, who will be toast!
The "forums" were more informative than the media circuses and attempts at in-fighting.
The press need to focus on the issues so we can pull substantive differences out on proposals. A FL tailored debate is obviously heavy on SS & Mediscare; it might hit on Cuba policy.
Unions might be a topic because ASCME is just started running an ad against Romney's Bain days, tying him to $100m in Medicare fraud. At the end they "morph" his likeness into that of Gov. Rick Scott.
Also in FL night now, Romney's Super PAC is running ads trashing Newt. Romney's campaign has an ad out spinning the Bain "job creation" record.
In my 3 hours of FL TV, I hadn't seen any ad for Newt.
“...I expect well see a TON of questions tonight about Gay Marriage, Abortion, Womens Rights, infidelity, yada, yada....”
And the correct answer, always, everytime, is “How do any of those issues put people back to work, after this administration and its party have wrecked the economy?”
Newt, Rick, Mitt, Ron:
DRAG THE DEBATE BACK TO THE ISSUE DESPITE THE MODERATORS. MAKE them own to up it.
That’s the only way it’s going to happen.
