Sen. Rand Paul told his communications director this morning he was being detained by TSA in Nashville. @moirabagley, the Twitter account associated with Paul staffer Moira Bagley tweeted around 10 a.m., ET, Just got a call from @senrandpaul. Hes currently being detained by TSA in Nashville. A spokesman for TSA said the agency was looking into the matter but could not immediately comment. Paul apparently set off an airport security full-body scanner, on a glitch, a spokesman in Pauls office told ABC News. The Paul staffer said TSA agents would not let Paul walk back through the body scanner and were demanding, according to the staffer, a full body pat-down.

Frankly, I am a bit sick of our politicians creating two classes of citizens. One that has to have SS and one that can have private retirement accounts. One that has to have Obama care and one that can have private insurance. One that has to abide by normal market conditions and one that is able to use insider information.
Hell, I whipped my lumber out.
Told him, if we are doing a pat down, let's do it right.
And mind the dentures.
Profiling. We used to call this good police work...
I do not fly so i do not know about it but is it T.S.A or are they just doing what our big brother orders them to do? i am convinced that t.s.a. has a lot more to fear from the government than they do terror threats.
—And mind the dentures.—
OK, I split a gut over that one!
How would you propose we stop them?
Ben Franklin said
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Bill Flax
100% agree.
Political Correctness is going to get us all killed.
Oh yeah, I forgot. Israel has the same number of airports and flights a day that we do in the U.S.
You should read the constitution. If he was traveling to the Senate this is clearly an illegal act which violates the constitution.
You’re a good comrade.
Rand Paul spoke out against the TSA policies during a hearing back in June 2011.
He was one of the 13 Senators that voted against NDAA, which among other things will add funding to expand TSA searches beyond the airports.
Just gotta choose your words. :)
Seriously? By profiling Muslims and limiting their access to US airlines. Not by groping my Grandma or subjecting me to microwaves.
Love or hate the man, the country can not fall back into the hell that was during the last decades of the 18th century, where Senators and Representatives were being summarily arrested by partisan LEOs along the Route 1 corridor on the Eastern Seaboard while they pliticians were in transit to and from Congress.

My only argument is this.
Treat every one just like they would treat the one that is special, rather than treating the special one like they would treat any one else, it may seem backwards but i believe in the long run it would do wonders for this Country.
