It probably has more to do with income. Mitt only does well with those earning more than $200,000 a year. The poorer someone is, the more they dislike Romney based on exit polls. Young people and minorities are disproportionately poor, and thus your observation :)
Rasmussen showing Newt up by 9% folks. All hope for a good debate from Newt tonight and later this week to seal the deal.
Michigan new R governor is a self proclaimed “Nerd” He’s turning the state around according to sis. Newt is more of a nerd than Willard. He’ll do just fine.
That’s OK, then, I’ll stick with Titan’s ping list.
The
freepathon’s are pretty hard to miss, and I did contribute the other day to the current one.
Thanks again....
Perino was asked about this and how people are voting for Newt and she just did not get it and kept saying he was on the inside of the beltway so not sure how he says he is on the outside.
When Gretchen Carlson said well it’s because he is not the establishment .
LOL Perino’s head looked like she was going to explode
The establishment had their wake up call in 2010 and they still have not woken up that we are fed up of them feeding htem candidates who are polite and want to work with the Pelosi’s of this world
Does anyone know if Newt will not be on the ballot on states other than Virginia?
VA won’t be too big of a deal, but if it is more than that, it could start to make it a bit harder for him since the February primaries are not good Newt territory (though if he pulls out another big victory in FL, even that could change).
right there you nailed it.
He is a MA liberal.
so called republicans up in that state for the most part and partly the north east are not republicans down here.
They are much more liberal on social issues, they do trust Govt much more and want Govt services much more
I’;m not talking all republicans from up there as there are a few holding out and would be welcomed down here but there are a hell of a lot of them which are liberals and not republicans even though they call themselves that
Virginia has 63 EV
Florida which Newt appears to be about to win has 50.
Think of it this way....
Newt is so confident that he will win, that he spotted Romney Virginia and 2 points in Florida :P
opps I meant delegates not EV’s
Perino was on FOX this morning and could not understand why Newt was saying he is an outsider of DC as he worked in DC and she could not understand as to why Newt was surging.
When Gretchen Carlson told her he is not the establishment Perino’s head looked to explode LOL
They had their wake up call back in 2010 and they ignored it , we want people with balls and guts to go after the left and this radical socialist not some pansy arse like most of the GOP are
Jackals!
I would rather risk losing with the candidate that agrees with me about 75% of the time than be guaranteed a “win” with the candidate who by his record agrees with me almost never.
Not Romney 2012.
“The black vote and the youth vote really surprised me in terms of Gingrich/Romney.”
It is the difference between the Dutch uncle who scolds you but at the end of the day wants to see you prosperous and independent, versus the manager who chisels your hours, skims your tips, and ultimately fires you so that his nephew can take your job.
I can see your point. You could be right.
“I used to hang up right away, but then I realized, if I keep them on the line, they can’t call as many other voters. So, I just leave the phone off the hook until I hear the buzz of the disconnect.”
I am told that if one responds to the begging letters with an insult or returned empty envelope or whatever, that these just get trashed and achieve nothing. However, if one returns a check for one cent, these MUST be processed as there is a fiduciary duty to do so, but the procedural and administrative costs far outweigh the penny and run a net loss to the candidate. That is a lot of entertainment for one dollar. Not sure it it is true though, or some urban myth.
Well, its almost identical to the reasons Sarah Palin resigned in that case, since she was being hounded with ethics charges and negative media attention that she said was a distraction. With the possible exception that she wanted to capitalize on her media fame in the entertainment/media industry before her 15 minutes were up.
Her 15 minutes aren’t up, are they. Stick your PSD where the sun don’t shine, if you can find the room.
Thank you for your nice graphic which answers my question. It appears that the poll understates Newt’s support.
It did seem to understate Newt’s actual vote. However, it did reflect the surge towards Newt the last week before the South Carolina election. It is in the ballpark!
