Girl Scouts will no longer be able to meet at a local church because of a connection with Planned Parenthood.
Several Girl Scout troops in Chantilly, Virginia have been banned from meeting at a local Catholic church and a neighboring school.
St. Timothy Catholic Church says that scouts won’t be allowed to meet or wear their uniforms on church property. The edict also applies to the adjacent St. Timothy School, which enrolls students from preschool to eighth grade.
The decision stems from what the church calls an affiliation with Planned Parenthood by the Girl Scouts parent organization, The World Association of Girl Guides.
A spokesman for the diocese released a statement that says in part:
“Every pastor in the diocese has the responsibility to determine how best to use their parish facilities, consider the requests of outside groups, and reconcile such requests with the needs and mission of their parish community.”
The regional girl scouts council says it will make sure the troops affected can find a new home.
That is great-—the war is on.
They need to encourage these groups into the Heritage Girls-—ones where they believe in God-—Natural Rights come from God, etc.
We are in America, the land of the Free and as such HAVE to acknowledge God—because Atheist godless countries have NO ABSOLUTES-—it means they can make up any laws they want-—like the Nuremberg Laws-—Nothing is “wrong” but we have a Constitution which acknowledges God-give rights.
That’s a little rough.
I don’t have any experience with the Girl Scouts, but I know the Boy Scouts teach Americanism and love of country.
It is bad when an edict comes down from adults in charge of these groups that most of the troop level parents and kids do not agree with, and it is bad that the troops get punished for the acts of their national leadership, but letting supposed transgendered boys in and supporting planned parenthood should not even be imposed on them.
Kids need to be able to grow without Homosexuals and pedophiles and sexually obsessive adults screwing up their recreation.
Surely Planned Parenthood would have a lobby or abortion room they could let them use long enough to have a meeting.

Personally, I have made the decision not to purchase Girl Scout cookies anymore...for the same reason....which I intend to explain to anyone who solicits.
It’s PAST time that we all take such actions.
This is great news!! I hope they start a Little Flowers group instead.
No Girl Scouts in this household. We support Little Flowers instead. My daughter will learn Catholic values instead of where to procure free contraception. I wish more parents would make the same choice we have.
Hate to punish the girls for what parents and or “the organization” is doing but hopefully it will open some eyes and ears to what’s going on behind the scenes. No cookies for us too.
Like most orgs devoted to the development of young women, the Girl Scouts appears to have been taken over by feminists. You don't ever hear the media attacking the Girl Scouts for their beliefs the way you hear them villify the Boy Scouts do you? Are the Girl Scouts rooting out any lesbian scout leaders or pedophiles in their ranks? You never hear of that being an issue. You have to wonder why.

The Girl Scouts have a nationally-implemented program followed by all troops that encourages the radical feminist agenda. In addition, money is funneled into Planned Parenthood. I hope more parents & parishes take a stand against this garbage. There are other alternatives like Little Flowers or American Heritage Girls.
No, it’s not a little rough.
You don’t know how PC leftist the GS have become. And the sexually related crap they are teaching the girls is, well, crap.
My wife was a troop leader for over 10 years, and I worked very closely with the kids. By the time our daughter grew up and our involvement with GS was winding down, we were getting fed up with the direction the organization was taking. And it’s a lot worse now.
I (and the other dads that helped) couldn’t be involved as we were 20 years ago with our troop because all men are looked upon as rapists and pedophiles. It’s gotten disgusting, IMO.
And don’t kid yourself that most of the parents are against what is being taught. Half of them don’t know and many of the rest don’t care.
Unlike the Boy Scouts of the US, the Girl Scouts have been exploited by Planned Parenthood and other left-wing organizations.

Why would any church advocate a private child organization that preaches the twisted anti-family, anti-female, anti-child agenda of liberalism?
Liberal feminists made a concerted effort to take over the girls scouts and acheived their goal in the 90s. Now the bloody chickens come home to roost.

As a Catholic parent of two girl scouts, my wife is the troop leader, this relationship to planned parenthood is perplexing. I can say that our small community troop does not promote the PP ideas and values. To the contrary, they work on community and educational projects to make the girls better citizens. My oldest has earned her Silver Award and will begin working on her Gold Award soon.(Top award for GS like the Eagle Scout is top for the Boy Scouts) My youngest will begin work on her Silver Award.
What I’m getting at is that I don’t want to punish kids who are involved in good, wholesome activities because of who may be involved in support of the national organization.
In 1992, Levi Strauss Co. pulled support from the Boy Scouts because the BSA would not accept gay scout masters. I and many others did and have boycotted Levi’s since that day. (I haven’t bought or worn any Levi’s clothing since that time. Including Dockers) So if you are refusing to buy cookies or help support individual Girl Scouts, aren’t you being like Levi’s and punishing kids because of the actions of the adults?
